She had somehow managed to fall asleep during their trek to London. When Pine Tree finally woke up, she had a pounding headache and her entire body ached from the running and the fall yesterday.
With a start and a gasp, she sat up. Disorientated, the female grappled for something steady to hold onto. Her hand connected with something, causing her almost to cry out in shock.
It was Odi, he was slumped against an alley wall, completely motionless. Pine spied blue cerebral fluid dripping from his nose. "No." she hissed, scrambling to her feet and then crying out in pain. Her ankle was still tender. "Damn it, Odi! I need you." glancing around her and checking that her surroundings were devoid of people, Pine pulled out the cube once more and knelt by the fallen synth. "This is the last time I can use this on you, next time your insides will fry and I cannot allow that to happen. I need you. I've got some very bad people after me and your going to have to be my allie." attaching the lead again, she waited for the download to complete. "I've got to get some tools before it's too late!"
She had to get some tools before Gray Steel found her...
