The Awakening of the Princess of the Dragons: Chapter 1 - News

| Lucy's POV |

I yawned as I got up from my bed. I summoned Plue, then started my morning routine. I brushed my teeth, changed my clothes, then ate some food.

"Wow, I can't believe it's still gloomy outside." I said to Plue. He responded by nodding his head. "I guess I should head to the guild before it rains." I headed to to guild right after, sitting at my usual lonely table at the guild.

Not so long after, Team Natsu appeared at the guild. They started walking towards me, so I turned my head away. Hopefully, they understood my message of not being welcome to talk to me. They brushed it off and continued walking towards me.

I sighed as I stood up. I already knew what this was about.

"Hey, Lucy? We need to talk." Natsu said. I-I can't believe it! This is the first time he's called me Lucy. He always called me Luce.

"What is it about?" I said with a glum expression.

"Well..." Natsu said, scratching the back of his head. "We kinda need another spot for our team, but it's kinda full, so we have to kick somebody out. And that person is (not) surprisingly you."

"I'm sorry. Lucy-san! I tried my best to convince everybody not to!" Wendy said, sorrow evident in her voice.

"It's okay, Wendy. And Natsu, what do you mean by 'the team's full?' Nobody said that there was a limited amount of people in the team. Also, what do you mean by it was not surpisingly me?" I questioned, tears pricking at my eyes.

Natsu sighed. "I wanted to tell you nicely, but I guess you want it the hard way."

I braced myself for the worst.

"We think you're weak. You're useless and you don't know how to defend yourself. Especially without your keys. Oh my god, don't even get my started on your keys. You hide behind your spirits while they fight. It also doesn't that much effort to take out your spirits too. And then, when you use all your spirits up, you're toast! I bet that even Romeo can beat you in a fight! You're such a crybaby, too! One tiny little thing can set you off crying! So, get out the team!" Natsu screamed.

My tears were very close to escaping. I bit my lip in hope that my tears will stay in a little longer. Until I leave Fairy Tail for good.

"You know what Natsu!? FINE, I QUIT THE TEAM! BUT, MARK MY WORDS I WILL BE BACK FOR REVENGE. ON YOU AND EVERYONE WHO IGNORED ME. LASAGNA'S GONNA PAY. YES, I KNOW HER NAME ISN'T LASAGNA. NATSU YOU'RE GONNA PAY TOO. I CAN'T BELIEVE THIS IS FAIRY TAIL. I THOUGHT WE WERE FAMILY! I'M LEAVING! YOU GUYS HAPPY NOW!?" I yelled, my emotions tearing me apart on the inside. I stomped to the front door, and held my right hand up.

"Ekat eht kram ffo fo em." I chanted, as my pink Fairy Tail mark disappeared right before everybody's eyes. I couldn't hold it in anymore. Tears escaped my eyes and fell to the ground. I ran out of the guild into the now pouring rain.

"WAIT! LUCY-SAN DON'T GO!" Wendy yelled. I turned around and looked at Wendy.

"Thank you Wendy for being such a great friend. I couldn't of had anybody better than you."

"No! Lucy-san! The others don't want you to go!" Wendy pleaded.

"No, Wendy. It's too late. I already made up my mind." I said, as I once again showed her my erased guild mark.

"Fine! If you're leaving Fairy Tail, then we will too!" Wendy yelled.

"We? There's only us here." I questioned.

"She's talking about me, Lucy." Charle said as she caught up to Wendy.

"Wendy..." My voice trembled. "You can't come with me! You can't just leave the guild!"

"I don't care about the guild!" Wendy started to cry. "As long as I'm with you, then I'm happy!"

"Oh, Wendy." I said, as Wendy ran towards me and hugged me. "You're like my big sister, Lucy. I've always looked up to you. You're the kindest person I know."

"Wendy..." Even more tears fell from my eyes. "If this is what you and Charles want, then, y-you can come."

Wendy looked up at me with tears also falling from her eyes. I wiped them away with my thumb. "Arigato! Lucy-san!"

"You should be heading home, you don't want to catch a cold in this weather." I said, since Wendy, Charles and I were all soaked from the rain, from head to toe.

"Alright. I'll see you soon!" Wendy smiled and started running to Fairy Hills to pack.

"Wendy! Meet me at my apartment in two hours!" I shouted to her.

"Okay!" She shouted back.

"Thank you, Wendy." I whispered. "You're like my little sister..."

------

"Aaaand done!" I said as I finished writing letters to the people in Fairy Tail. I put all the letters in envelopes, then moving them to the side of my desk. "Now," I said, moving my sore head to the right then to the left, hearing it crack a little. "Time to finish my book. For Levy-chan."

DING-DONG!

"Oh that must be Wendy and Charles." I said, while I walked downstairs to open the door for them. It was still pouring outside, luckily Wendy and Charles had an umbrella.

"Ohayo, Lucy-san!" Wendy said cheerfully, entering my apartment.

"So I was thinking that we spend the night here, and wait for the rain to pass. After that, in the morning, we'll set off on our adventure! I already told my landlady that I wasn't going to be here for two years or so." I said gleefully, happy that I had a companion to adventure and train with me.

"Okay!" Wendy said.

Then, we started to play around. I whacked Wendy with one my pillows and yelled, "pillow fight!" Wendy toppled over and ended up squashing Charles. Wendy's aura dark, as she grabbed a pillow.

"S-scary." I said, backing up.

"YOU SHALL PAY!" Wendy yelled and she started beating me up with a pillow. Charles joined in as well.

We laughed and played to whole night away.
