Jungkook

It was your birthday and you were stuck in work. You were tired and just wanted to go home and sleep. You were planning on being home earlier today to go out with your boyfriend of 3 years, Jungkook. He'd just come back from touring a couple of days and you haven't yet had a chance to talk to him properly.

You sighed and sat behind your computer in the cramped office you had. You had at least 500 words to write. It was already 9 o'clock. You reached for your phone and found Jungkook's number. You text him;

'Sorry, but I'm going to have to work on! We'll have to do our date another time. Help yourself to the food in the fridge! Love you x'

You sighed and placed you phone down carefully. You started to type again and groaned from typist fingers.

It was around 11 o'clock by the time you had finished and you were nearly falling asleep in the coffee you had made to keep yourself awake. You sent your document off to your boss and packed away. What a great birthday.

You got in the car and drove home. When you got to the entrance of the house you searched you bag for your keys. You fished them out and accidentally dropped them on the floor. Aish. You were trying to be quiet because you knew Jungkook was probably sleeping inside.

You placed the keys in the door. You cringed as it slowly creaked open. Being as quiet as possible, you tip-toed over to the fridge with only food on your mind. You were lost in concentration when you felt a pair of arms wrap around your waist. You jumped out of your skin.

"Kookie-ah! Don't do that. I was scared. I thought you were asleep." You shut the fridge and turned around to face Jungkook. His hair was flat on one side where he had been resting on it. He looked so cute when he was sleepy.

"Your boss should really let you go home earlier. I didn't even have time to say 'Happy Birthday' to my Birthday Girl. The days almost over." He smiled and wiped his eyes. You shivered from the lack of touch but he soon put his hands back on your hips.

"Kookie it's fine. I had to get it done one day. But thanks for worrying about me." You brushed his hair out of his eyes.

"Y/N, I'm your boyfriend! I'm allowed to worry."

"I know." He leaned in to kiss you. That's when you heard it. A kind of yelp.

You head went back a bit and you asked, "What was that? Did you hear it?" Jungkook just shock his head.

"No... I didn't hear... Anything." He started leaning in again. He was inches away from you lips when you heard it again.

"I heard it again! There's definitely something in here making that noise!" You backed away from Jungkook and walked in the direction of the sound. You hesitated as you reached yours and Jungkook's room. You pressed your ear to the door and heard a shuffling from the other side. Jungkook had caught up and was standing beside you.

You reluctantly twisted the handle and the door creaked open. There was a rattle and something came running out. You yelped and then took in the features of a golden retriever. A puppy golden retriever. It's eyes were looking at you expectantly. You were so shocked and you couldn't get any words out.

"Surprise! Happy Birthday!" You slowly turned around to Jungkook and saw his nervous stance. You threw your arms around his neck and screamed.

"JUNGKOOK YOU ARE THE BEST BOYFRIEND EVER! Thank you so much!" You bent down and stroked the dog behind its ears. "Aren't you cute! I can't believe this."

You picked the dog up and put your head in its fur. That's when you felt the box attached to its collar.

"What's this?" You carefully took it off and opened the box. A ring with a small diamond was set inside. You hid your mouth with hand and turned round to Jungkook. He was kneeling on one knee.

"Y/N, I've been with you for a very long time and I feel as if we are both ready for this. Will you marry me?" He looked up at you suddenly widely awake. A tear of joy rolled down your cheek as you nodded.

"Yes, of course!" You got down and joined him on the floor. He reached for you face and pulled you in for a kiss. While you too kissed he took the ring and placed it on your finger. You both smiled into the kiss. You were interrupted when the dog scratched at your legs and yelped.

You broke away and picked the dog up. You hugged both Jungkook and the dog. You couldn't explain how happy you were. You felt like a family.
