I'm stuck at a crossroads but I didn't bring a guitar with me
Only thing I have is my logic and memories
My faith is the only thing moving my feet
Still confused on which way to go
Been through a lot, everything I need I should know
It pains me to experience what comes with growth
My support system number continues to get low
They make up lies in thin air that'd disappear if I blow
People competing for a life that'll make you colder than snow
Sadly turtles ain't the only ones slow
My phone stopped ringing cause yours did
I'd expect anybody but my people to bet against me.. but they took the first bid
I love my city but I want to travel.. visit other countries, maybe Spain Madrid
They say the top gets lonely
I wasn't even half way there when they turned phony
Wish I could play back the facts on a 65 inch Sony
If you had nobody, you always had me
If they told me I'd have nobody, I wouldn't believe
I guess there are somethings you really gotta just see
However, lesson learned
In addition, bridges burned
Finally, it's my turn
My turn to be my main focus
No longer feeling hopeless
Unlearning my childhood memories
Life's no Disney, no one's saving me
I'm my own prince on the horse
I'm tired of losing people but on to the next divorce
I'm naturally genuine, I won't accept your force
Maybe I'll feel less lonely behind the wheel of a Porsche
Money don't buy happiness
But currency is a better moral support
This journey will be much lighter than before
I'm healing and loving myself way more
I use to feel like a burglar in motherhood
Postpartum had me feeling so misunderstood
My daughter exudes love for me, now I feel good
Genuinely the only love I ever needed
I hate how I yearned for love where it had to be pleaded
The key to life is slow down, be strategic
If it doesn't make you full, don't feed it
Whatever emotions come to mind, speak it
Don't let trauma consume you
Don't let life assume you
The quizzical part of living never seizes to hurt you.
But those lessons learned will always come full circle.
