"I suppose a fire that burns that bright is not meant to last."

Tris walked out of the mess hall only to find herself in a dark hallway filled with shadows. She walked forward not having a care in the world if anyone heard her, it didn't matter though, they already knew her whereabouts. All of them knew where she was. She was about to round a corner when she heard whispers, she slowly backed behind a wall and inched as close as she could to the edge.

"What are we going to do with her," Eric's deep voice echoed.

"Nothing. We can't do anything, not without the rest of the city figuring out that we don't want them to not trust us." Jeanine said, her voice strong but wavering.

"So we just let those fear's of hers grow into rumors?" Eric asked his eyes darting every which way.

"That's all we can do. Any effort of trying to smother the fire, will be seen and the reason will be sought out. The council is already trying to dissect where those thoughts of hers were coming from," She pursed her lips.

"And if they find what they're looking for?" Eric asked bluntly.

"Well then we'll have to take action sooner rather than later..." she grimaced.

"And if that doesn't work? We already know she has been more than capable of surviving." He replied back this time in interest.

"Tris struck the first match. We will have to snuff out the last ash." an unknown yet familiar voice spoke, his words amplifying in the darkness.
