Without Warning Part 1

"This is a summing scroll. By signing this scroll with your blood you will be able to summon various birds of prey. After you sign your name on this scroll I will teach you the needed hand signs to summon." Your uncle explained as he pointed to a blank space on the scroll.

"You can sign your name here by Raion's."

You nodded at your uncle's words as you bit your thumb like he had. It hurt but you brushed the pain away as you began signing your name on the scroll. Once finished, you touched all of your fingers to your bleeding thumb and placed all of your fingers at the bottom of your name to complete your signature. You honestly weren't sure what you were doing. You were just copying Raion's signature. 

"Are you going to teach Sakie this jutsu too?" You suddenly asked as your uncle took the scroll and rolled it up before putting it on his back.

"Eventually, but not for a while." Your uncle explained before he began showing you the hand signs for the summoning jutsu as he explained that you also needed your blood in conjunction with the jutsu.

You eagerly nodded at your uncle's instruction as you practiced the hand signs. You were so excited to summon something! There were quite a few hand signs to this jutsu, but you were sure it would become second nature with practice.

Finally feeling like you understood the hand signs well enough, you bit your thumb again while performing the required hand signs.

"Summoning Jutsu!" You shouted in excitement as you slammed your hand onto the ground. 

A cloud of smoke appeared and you eagerly leaned forward in anticipation for what you summoned. You were hoping it was either a falcon or a hawk. As the smoke slowly disappeared it revealed an egg...

You frowned deeply at this as you gingerly picked the egg up and looked at your uncle in confusion.

"Uh did I do it wrong?"

Your uncle chuckled while gently taking the egg from you.

"Not necessarily. You didn't put a lot of chakra into that. You need to focus and use more of your chakra to summon something larger." Your uncle explained as he gestured for you to try again.

You nodded at his words as you tried building up your chakra. It was a struggle but once you felt like you had enough, you performed the required hand signs again but your result was the same. Your uncle tilted his head at this as he continued to watch you struggle several more times to summon something bigger than an egg.

"Hmm...are you struggling to focus or with building your chakra?"

You sighed at his question while wiping away the sweat forming on your forehead.

"I'm struggling to build up my chakra...It's just like with smoke release."

Your uncle hummed at this before gently setting the eggs he was holding on the ground and walking over to you. 

"Could you pull up the back of your shirt for me? I need to look at your phoenix markings."

A weirded-out look crossed your features. What kind of question was that? You then sighed a bit as you slowly lifted the back of your shirt to reveal your markings. You thought his request was weird but you knew he wouldn't ask unless it was for good reason. 

Your uncle then moved behind you as he silently observed your markings. He then hummed in thought before you felt a sudden pain shoot through your shoulders. You gasped at this as you stumbled forward; a searing pain exploding through your shoulders.

"What was that for!?"

"Ah I'm sorry. I was just releasing the seal the Kazekage had put on you. It was blocking your chakra. It's no wonder you have struggled so much with harnessing your chakra. You have an average amount of chakra but since you carry a firebird inside of you, you also have its chakra at your disposal. Its chakra levels aren't quite as much as what a tailed beast has to offer but it's comparable."
