I looked up and down the aisle but the book seemed to be gone.

"Hey there, My name is Callie and I was wondering if I could help you with anything today" said a voice from behind me.

I turned around to see one of the employees. She was probably my age, and my height. She shoulder length dirty blond hair with a blue streaks going through her curtain bangs. She had very pale and fair skin but I couldn't help but see she had something else mixed in.

"actually yes, Im looking for the dune book you had here earlier. Do you still have it?" I asked, hoping with my entire soul that they still had it.

"We do actually. It's currently in the back because someone tried to shoplift it." Callie laughed.

"oh wow that's crazy" I laughed along, not entirely seeing how it was funny.

"Yeah, well if you want I can bring it up to the register and ring it up for you" Callie offered.

"That would be amazing, thank you"

"Its no problem"

The boys had left the store awhile ago to play at the park in town. I didn't mind though because I had began enjoying my time in the store with Callie.

We ended up sitting down in some comfy chairs at the front of the store.  The Black cat named Denali decided to sit with me and the orange cat named Garry sat with Callie.  We had been talking for three hours about everything you could imagine.

"So your school has different 'houses' for all of the students. Do they split it up based on race or something because that is really weird. I mean what even is the purpose of that?" Callie asked.

"Well no it's not based off of race technically. But in all honesty I think whoever came up with it was a bit racist because for some reason most of our asian students are in one specific house." I laughed.

She put Cho Chang into the house for smart people. WTF

"Okay, and you are in Reguluses houses enemy house" Callie relayed.

"Yes"

"And his brother, who is your friend from earlier, hates him"

"also yes"

"And you like him but can't let his brother know"

"bingo"

"wow you are living the life of a person in a story" Callie laughed.

"I never thought of it that way but I guess" I laughed too.

"So what else has happened to you, any more drama" Callie asked.

"well, I did get kicked out of my parents home four days ago and I have to find a place to live by Tuesday" I smiled, trying to make the situation sound funnier than it was.

Callie stopped laughing and looked at me.

"Shit girl, that sucks. I mean I only met you today but I can tell you don't deserve that"

" I mean it doesn't matter at this point right. Ill find a place but its going to be hard since I don't know very many people willing to help me out" I smiled, still trying to stay happy.

"well I can't offer you my house since I don't know you very well but.......My dad owns this shop so I could ask him if you can sleep in one of the storage rooms in the back, you could even work here for the rest of the summer" Callie suggested.

"that sounds so amazing, are you serious?" I smiled, for real this time.

"yeah absolutely, I got your back girl"

---------------------------------------------------------------

I spent the rest of the summer working at the shop with Callie, and she became the closest thing I have ever had to a real sister.  We turned out to have a lot in common. It also turned out she helped with backstage stuff at the local theater.  After a few weeks her parents decided that I was a trustworthy person and allowed me to sleep in their house.  On weekends I spent time with Sirius, Remus, and James.  Peter never hung out with them that summer which was odd but I still wrote him a few letters.

In the end everything worked out fine but I still didn't know two things.

One: What I would do after I graduated school. would I life with Callie for the rest of my life?

Two: What was I going to say to regulus and when was I going to say it?
