She was running through the woods, scared out of her wits. She had to get as far away as she could. The girl couldn't let them find her.

Despite darkness and trees and trees being all that surrounded her, the eerie woods and what were lurking in them were not her primary concern. All she knew was that she had to get away.

Suddenly she tripped, most likely on a raised root or fallen branch. With thud, the female hit the ground. The damp, leafy floor was not enough to break her fall. Her entire body hurt, screaming at the unexpected shock and impact.

With a groan, she tried to sit up. The young woman quickly brushed the dead leaves and dirt from her hair. This was bad, this was very bad, she thought. The longer she remained static, the closer they would be to finding her.

Standing up, she cried out in pain and fell back to the ground. Her ankle, she had twisted her ankle!

Tears began to run down her face. It was hopeless, there was no way she could escape now.

She heard the sound of approaching footsteps, it was them. They had finally found her.

"George?" an unfamiliar voice asked.

With a frown, she turned to face the stranger. Her eyes widened at the sight. "A synth?" she murmured in a breathless voice.
