The silence boomed in her ears, she had to be careful of her next words, "Did she ever find it?" Her voice was just above a whisper.

"She did." Ominis' voice was grim.

"Oh, Ominis I'm so sorry." Olive placed a comforting hand on his shoulder. "I understand your apprehension, but maybe it's time. We could search the scriptorium, Sebastian could find what he's looking for about Anne, and we could find out what happened to your aunt, together. You wouldn't be alone."

She watched as the inner battle crossed on his brow before he closed his eyes and inhaled deeply. "Alright."

"What?" The girl was in disbelief.

Ominis pinched the bridge of his nose, "I said alright. Please, before I change my mind go and collect Sebastian, I know he's around the corner."

"Ominis, I-" She had been caught, he knew the whole time.

"It's alright, I knew he put you up to this, but I wanted to see if you would tell me something different, and you did." He said softly before shooing her along. Her brain couldn't wrap around what had just happened as she rounded the corner, Sebastian had his arms crossed and looked at her expectantly, she just nodded her head.

"What? Are you kidding me? You got him to agree?" His voice bounced off the walls.

Olive shrugged her shoulders, "I suppose I did." Sebastian rolled his eyes at her before going to meet with Ominis at the end of the hall.

"The entrance is in this very corridor; it's got something to do with 3's" Ominis said lightly

"So now you speak up? You wouldn't give me anything when I was practically begging." Sebastian quipped as he looked around.

"If you still want my help, I suggest you quit being a git." Ominis shot back. "I've heard my brother speaking about the entrance with my father, they mentioned something about braziers, what about them I'm not sure."

As Olive glanced around the corridor there were indeed three braziers, it was peculiar since it was well past 9pm, all lanterns and braziers on school ground were enchanted to turn on at sunset, all except three. She approached the first one and cast Incendio, the pot lighting instantly, she continued with the final two. A loud sound of scraping stone echoed on the walls as the entrance made itself visible.

Sebastian threw his arm around her shoulder, almost throwing her off balance "Way to go Ollie! Always the scholar!" He moved past her and cast Lumos as he moved down the dark stairwell.

Olive followed suit behind him, hearing Ominis whisper "I hope we don't regret this." To himself as she passed.

"Dark ominous corridors, my favorite." She heard Sebastian say jokingly from his place in front of them.

"Shut it." Ominis' tone was short.

"Oh lighten up Ominis, that was a good one." He replied exasperatedly.

As the trio descended the stairs, they were deposited into a small room, rubble and spider webs littered the floors. The ground vibrated as the door at the top of the stairs closed, shutting them in. Olive and Sebastian locked eyes as she felt a pit start to grow in her stomach.

"What was that noise?" Ominis' voice rang out.

"Seems as though we're locked in, the only way out is forward." Olive tried to keep her voice as calm as possible as she noticed a piece of paper sitting on a ledge.

I must prove my point – we do not need to use the Dark Arts as my family instructs. When I reach the scriptorium, I will find evidence that there's more to Salazar Slytherin than we realize.
