Ruhi's Pov

"Did Yash truly not recognize me? Had our shared moments meant nothing to him? Unhe mere naam tak yaad nahi hai? Kya wo bachpan ka bitaye hue pal sirf mere liye important tha...unke liye nahi?"

Realizing that Yash no longer remembered me beyond my role made me feel empty, like a special part of who I am was ignored and pushed away. Even though it hurt a lot, I decided quietly to hide my feelings and keep doing my work.

"Did the Yash I once knew still exist beneath this facade of indifference? Could our shared moments, once filled with laughter and companionship, truly have faded into oblivion for him?"

Later that night-

Rajmata entered the kitchen briskly, her presence commanding attention.

"Ruhi, Leela, both of you, serve dinner. Everyone is waiting," she instructed.

I nodded silently, acknowledging her directive.

Without hesitation, Leela ji and I gathered the dishes, ensuring everything was arranged thoroughly for the dinner service.
As we carried the trays out of the kitchen, I couldn't shake off the lingering ache in my heart, my mind wandered back to the unanswered questions that had plagued me earlier.

As I served dinner in the dining room, I couldn't help but steal glances at Yash from the corner of my eye.

"I want to share some news with all of you," Yash announced suddenly, grabbing everyone's attention in the dining room.

The room fell silent as all eyes turned towards him. Even though I, standing at the edge of the room, couldn't help but pause my tasks.

He cleared his throat and said, "As you all know Natasha very well right?"

"Natasha??I never heard her name.. Who is she, and why did Yash mention a girl's name? " I thought to myself, puzzled by his comment.

I don't know why but suddenly, my heartbeat accelerated.

He revealed, "Natasha and I have been in a relationship for 5 years. I haven't told anyone about this because I wasn't sure if this relationship would last."

My heart shattered into pieces as soon as I heard it. Tears welled up in my eyes, yet I struggled to maintain my composure. I couldn't let them see how much it was hurting me.

"So, there's already someone else in his life...and because of that, he has forgotten about me. Okay-"

Rajmata exclaimed, "Oh wow!"

He continued, "Natasha and I have decided to take our relationship forward. I proposed to her for marriage, and guess what?!! she said yes!"

"Really? That's great news yash! Am so happy for you" rajmata beamed with joy

"Are you sure about it?" Veer uncle asked Yash

"Yes, bhaii, are you sure that you want to marry her? It's not like there's a shortage of girls in the world...Think carefully, with your eyes wide open..." Yuvraj told Yash, passing along his advice.

"What is there to be sure about, Veer?" Rajmata replied to Veer uncle in a slightly curt tone. "he said they've been in a relationship for the past five years... They know each other very well!!!"
