Once a thorn in my side,
Now a rose in my heart,
You've turned my world upside down
And torn me apart.
We argued and fought
But beneath the fray
I saw a glimpse of your soul
And my heart went astray.
Now, as I gaze into your eyes
I see a love so true
A love that's worth the risk
Even if it means losing you.
My heart beats for you alone
And though my ego may protest
I can't deny the truth I've known.
