A day after the attack on Jamanakai village the ninja are back in the monastery, Wu is meditating when he hears the ninja once again arguing
"My turn! Uh it's my turn!." Kai yelled muffled
"Oh you want a little more? Take this!." Cole yelled muffled
"Yeah? How about a little of this?." Jay asked muffled
"Up down left right zip zip! In the face!." (Y/N) yelled muffled
"Monkey paw to the head!." Kai yelled muffled
"Ninja roll!." Cole yelled muffled
Wu walks into the video game room only to see it empty, he leaves into the training court and see the ninja training
"Dragon punch!." Jay yelled more clearly
Wu walks into the training compound shocked to see everyone training, Jays deflecting arrows with his nunchucks, Cole is practicing on the dummies, Kai is practicing his spinjitzu, (Y/N) was jumping around on the wooden planks and punching the punching bag nearby while Zane mediates
"Ninja! Go!." Kai yelled just as Zane got up and distributed the others by jumping in front of Jay
"Hey! Huh?." Jay yelled confused just as Zane grabbed Cole's weapons for the dummy
"Hey! What?." Cole looked confused he then jumps in front of (Y/N) causing him to lose balance
"Woah woah!." (Y/N) yelled as he fell and got smacked by the punching bag and sent to the ground
"Ninja! Go!." Zane yelled as he used Spinjitzu and freeze the entire compound causing Kai to slip
"Woah! Oof!." Kai groaned as he fell
The four ninja regroup
"First the monastery is set on fire, now it's covered in ice, what's next? And Earthquake?." (Y/N) asked as he skied over
"This roof isn't big enough for the five of us." Kai said
"Correction, this roof isn't big enough for him." Cole emphasised Zane would was at a training dummy
"It's like he's in his own world." Jay said as he looked at Zane who hit his head on the dummy
"I bet he can't even hear us!." Jay yelled as Zane ignored
"Oh come on he made a slight mistake, big deal." (Y/N) said as the three others looked at him
Before anything could happen, Wu walked over to the disturbed ninja
"Sensei, Zane's... weird." Kai said
"What is weird? Someone who is different or someone who is different than you?." Wu asked
"No Sensei. He's 'weird' weird." Cole cleared up as they had a flash back
As Cole uses the toilet Zane walks in to comb his hair despite Cole's presence
"Do you mind?!." Cole yelled embarrassed
Meanwhile with Jay in his flash back him and Nya are watching a romantic movie
"Goodbye my darling." The man said in the movie as Jay and Nya watch Zane laughs which makes the duo angry
In Kai's flashback, Kai goes to the fridge to get something to eat, as he opens the door Zane is seen sitting in there eating
"Ahh! Holy bologna!." Kai yelled as Zane looked at him confused
"I'm sorry. I consumed the last of the deli meat. Cheese?." Zane offered as Kai stood there bewildered
In (Y/N) flash back, (Y/N) was seen talking to Nya and Jay about the romance movie they were watching
"Did you check out the romance movie I recommended?." (Y/N) asked as the duo nodded
"It's actually really good." Nya smiled
"Yeah." Jay agreed as they heard the movie playing again with Zane laughing once more
"Uhhh... what....
"Don't question it." Jay said annoyed
The flash back ends
"We like the guy. He's really smart. He's just.... A little off sometimes." Kai said
"Zane is a brother and brothers are often different. I should know." Wu said as (Y/N) looked at Wu with an understanding face
Just then they heard the postman arrive
"Mail!." They yelled as they ran to the door, opening the door the mailman pants, (Y/N) brought out a glass of water and passed it to him, the mailman smiled grateful
"Let's see, a letter from Jays parents." He hands Jay an envelope
"Kai has a fan letter." The mailman hands him the letter
"Oh something from Cole's father." He hands Cole an envelope
"What? No package? I'm expecting something from Creatures, Beasts and beyond." Cole asked
"No. Nothing from... uh-uh. Here it is!." He hands Cole a package
"Ha! Rocky's gonna love this!." Cole smiled excitedly
"And finally, a package for (Y/N)." He handed (Y/N) a box
"What did you get (Y/N)?." Kai asked as (Y/N) smiled
"That's a secret between me and Nya." (Y/N) said as Jay and Kai got suspicious while Cole walked away
"Hey Zane. How come you never hear anything from your parents?." Jay asked
"I don't remember my parents. I've been an orphan all my life." Zane spoke sadly
"Just like me." (Y/N) replied sadly
"You mean you've never had a home?." Kai asked as Zane shakes his head sadly as Wu walked up to him
"The monastery is your home now." Wu said as Zane sadly walks away making (Y/N) upset
"I feel bad for Zane." (Y/N) said
"Well no duh, you're an orphan too." Jay said as Kai elbowed him
"Oh! sorry." Jay apologised
Meanwhile Cole is seen at the stables where he opens his package and which is revealed to be meat
"Liver and toads, Rocky. Your favourite." Cole smiled as he feeds Rocky
"Mm-hmm." Cole smiled as Rocky ate
While Cole feeds Rocky, Skales spies on him
"I can't believe you hypnotised one of the ninja. Does the general know?." Rattla asked
"Of course not. He's been put under the control of Lloyd. But I plan to use it for my best interest." Skales said as Slithraa approached
"Everyone works while you two slack. As my second in command, I expect more from you Skales." Slithraa spoke disappointed
"Yes General. General, you know I am most loyal to you, but I must question this childish agenda. The ninja have stolen our staff yet you instruct your army to make this playhouse for Lloyd? Snakes don't belong in trees." Skales reasoned as Slithraa got annoyed
"You know better that to question my judgement, Skales. I'll pretend you didn't ask." Slithraa said making Skales annoyed and angry
"Hey! If we plan to rule Ninjago from here, this elevator needs to have a trapped door! I want more booby traps!." Lloyd ordered and yelled
"As you wish, young Garmadon." Slithraa said as he slithers away
"As you wish, General." Skales spoke displeased as he walks away

Back at the Monastery, the ninja wait at the dinner table for dinner
"Mmm. Oh I love it when it's Zane's night to cook." Jay spoke
"Hey I didn't hear any complains about my duck chowder last night." Cole spoke annoyed
"That's because it's glued our mouths shut. You really thought Jay was speechless all throughout dinner?." Kai asked slightly laughing with the others
"Yeah please don't make that again." Jay said
"Here here." (Y/N) agreed with Jay
Zane enters the kitchen wearing a pink apron with flowers on it holding some turkey
"Dinner is served." Zane said as everyone looks at him before bursting into laughter
"What's so funny?." Zane asked confused
"Zane, you're wearing a... Even I wouldn't wear that." Nya laughed
"You laugh because I take steps to ensure I'm clean after cooking?." Zane asked confused
"Haha! No! We laugh because you came out wearing that ridiculous outfit." Kai kept laughing while (Y/N) began eating
"I guess we don't share the same sense of humour." Zane spoke
"Well, how about this?." Cole asked as he threw a plate full of shrimps onto Kai's face."
Everyone except Zane laughs
"How could you not find that funny?." Cole asked as Wu walked behind him and poured the soup bowl on Cole's head
"Ah!." Cole yelled surprised
"Now you are brothers." Wu said to Zane and Cole
A good fight erupts but Zane is still confused
"He looked so cute in it." Nya said as she noticed (Y/N) was eating and not fighting, she throws a shrimp onto (Y/N) who looked up as Nya smirked as she grabbed another shrimp and tossed it up into her hand
"Show me what you got Purple." Nya smirked as (Y/N) smirked back tossed his plate at her making them laughing
"You asked for it." (Y/N) laughed as Nya grabbed some more food and chased (Y/N) around with the food both laughing

Later that night. Zane takes out the trash when he notices a Falcon above him on a tree, the Falcon copies Zane's moves, it soon flies away and Zane decides to follow it. The Falcon leads Zane to Lloyd's treehouse fortress, which is heavily guarded by the serpentine
"If I see one girl in here. I'm gonna go ballistic." Lloyd's voice could be heard
Zane looks at the Falcon
"Thank you, my mysterious friend." Zane said as he ran back to the monastery
The following day, Zane leads the four ninja towards Lloyd's treehouse
"I don't even think Zane knows where he's going." Kai said to the team
"Uh tell us again how you stumbled upon Lloyd's secret headquarters?." Kai asked Zane
"Yeah how did you?." (Y/N) asked
"I followed a bird." Zane responded
"Why did you follow a bird?." Jay asked confused
"Because it danced." Zane responded again
"Oh.... Okay. Was it a cuckoo bird?." Jay said as everyone laughed except Zane
"The bird." Jay said as Zane didn't laugh
"Of course not. Everyone knows cuckoo birds are not indigenous to these forests." Zane said stunning the ninja as they continued to follow Zane
They soon hear Lloyd and see the treehouse
"Watch it! No, bigger! Come on we don't have all day! It's not time for a lunch break." Lloyd bossed around
"Hold cannoli, frosty was right." Cole said surprised
"Was there any doubt?." (Y/N) asked as Zane responded
"Yes."
"We can't let that brat and those snakes get a foothold of Ninjago. We gotta destroy that thing before it becomes operational." Kai said as Jay was hasty to stop him
"Woah! Are you sure? It looks like a pretty cool treehouse. There's a ropes course... Ooh! A tree swing!." Jay looked at the tree house in amazement
"Hey! Remember who's team you're on. Alright guys what do we do?." Cole asked
"It looks like the entire place is being supported by those three trees. Once those ties are severed, the whole building is gonna fall like a house of cards." Kai explained
"But why would one make a house of cards? Such construction would be careless." Zane said
"Oh brother." Kai mumbled as (Y/N) patted his shoulder
"It's an expression Zane." (Y/N) cleared up
"Travel in shadows boys." Cole said as the ninja sneak off. Kai severs a rope and uses it to swing into the tree house. Cole uses the elevator secretly while Jay and Zane climb up a tree, while (Y/N) climbs the bottom of the treehouse undetected, as the five get up near the top they are near by Lloyd
"It's almost finished. Soon my fortress will be complete. You! Hold up that sign for me!." Lloyd commanded to a random solider
The solider holds up the sign that says "No girls or Ninja" Lloyd then tests a bobby trap on him to see if it works and it does by sending the warrior into a cage underneath him
"Booby trap!." Lloyd yelled
The five get up to the top of the treehouse and go to different poles
"Ninja go!." Jay yelled as he used spinjitzu to cut the first rope
"Ninja go!." Zane yelled as he severed the second rope
The treehouse stumbles and sends everyone to the ground, upon looking up for why, Lloyd spots Kai
"I said no Ninja! Attack!." Lloyd yelled
"Everyone retreat!." Skales yelled as the serpentine leave
"Cole! Wait till we're off the treehouse then cut the line." Kai ordered as Cole nodded in agreement
Skales noticed Cole and pointed at him
"You! You will obey my every command!." Skales yelled as Cole falls under his hypnosis
"I will obey your every command." Cole said under the hypnosis
"Where's Cole?." Jay asked looking around
"This whole place is coming down!." Kai yelled
Just then Cole jumped in front of them
"No one goes anywhere until you deal with me!." Cole yelled as he walked over to them
"Cole!." (Y/N) yelled as they backed up
"What's gotten into him?." Kai asked
"He's under their control." Zane said
"Yeah well he better snap out of it quick because this whole place looks like it's about to go down!." Jay yelled
Back inside with Lloyd he talks to Skales
"Don't go. We have to protect my treehouse fortress." Lloyd said as Skales looked at him
"Your treehouse? It's about time we did this!." Skales said looking at Lloyd
"Did what?." Lloyd asked confused as Skales uses one of Lloyd's booby traps and traps him in a cage
"Now! To get the staff!." Skales yelled as they left
Meanwhile Cole still had the ninja cornered
"Okay, now come on. Friends don't hit friends." Jay said as Cole kicked him in the jaw
"Yeah you can't reason with some who's not in control." (Y/N) said
"Yeah I figured that much out, but I'm gonna ignore what Cole did." Jay said as (Y/N) shrugged
"You do you." (Y/N) said
"What are we supposed to do? If I use my sword, this place will turn up into flames faster than a tinder box." Kai said
"And I can't use my Sais cause I might risk hurting Cole." (Y/N) said
"Isn't the anti venom in the staff?." Zane asked
"Yeah, but the staff is back at the monastery." Jay said
Just then Cole knocked Kai off the roof but Zane saves him
"Jay! Use your lighting! Try to shock him out of his trance!." Zane suggested
"Oh sorry Cole, but this is gonna hurt you a lot more than it's gonna hurt me." Jay said as he began spinning his nunchucks before he shocked Cole and knocked him down
"I don't think that worked." (Y/N) said
"Why?." Zane asked as Cole got up angrier then before and knocks Jay off the treehouse
"That's my reason." (Y/N) said
"Jay!." The duo yelled just as Jay grabbed a rope at the last second but the tree house continued to collapse
"That is a serious safety hazard!." Jay yelled
Cole jumped over to the last rope
"No Cole! Don't!." Kai yelled
"No! No Cole! No!." Zane yelled
"Bad Cole! Don't you dare!." (Y/N) yelled just as Cole was about to slice the rope
Just as he was about to he gets snapped out of his trance as a flute was heard being played, they look up and see Nya and Wu flying on flame as Wu plays the flute
"Huh? Where- where am I? What are we doing?." Cole asked
"Welcome back, uh let's see, you tried to kill us and... no that's really it." (Y/N) said
"We're getting out of here because this whole place it coming down!." Nya yelled as the ninja hopped on Flame, just as the treehouse collapsed
"That flute!." Kai looked at it
"It cancels their powers!." Jay said understanding what it was
"Wait... I thought you used that flute to get me to sleep as a young boy?." (Y/N) asked
"I did, and this flute is as old as the serpentine themselves. But we must hurry! The monastery is unguarded! Quickly!." Wu yelled as Flame zoomed off
The ninja returned back to the monastery only to find out their too late as it has been burned down with flames still visible
"We're too late. Those snakes." Kai growled as they landed
The other three dragons cry out for help
"Rocky!." Cole yelled as he freed them to gain so fresh air
"Our home." Kai looked around as (Y/N) welled tears as he saw his home he grew up in burned down
"Shard! Put this out!." Zane ordered as Shard stops the fire
"The training equipment. Gone." Zane looked around
"Our video games. Gone!." Jay cried
"They stole their staff back ." Wu said
"What do we do now?." Cole asked
Kai looked at Zane from sorrow into anger
"If you hadn't followed that silly bird, none of this would've happened!." Kai yelled
"Kai...
"No Sensei, he's right!." Jay yelled looking at Zane
"Because of you, my highscore has been deleted!." Jay yelled as (Y/N) punched Jay in the face sending him to the ground
"Our home is gone and all you care about is your stupid video game?!." (Y/N) yelled as he clenched his fist Jay looked in fear and so did everyone else, Nya walked to (Y/N) and hugged him as (Y/N) cried
"This is a teaching moment, we must learn from this." Zane said as Cole got frustrated
"A teaching moment? What's wrong with you? Don't you get it?! Everything is gone! (Y/N) home is gone! The place he was raised in!." Cole yelled
"Enough!." Wu yelled as everyone looked at Wu
"We were all at fault. Zane is your brother. Apologies at once." Wu said as the three ninja turned around to apologise as they felt bad
"I'm sorry Zane, I....
Kai noticed Zane disappeared
"Zane?." Jay asked as he looked around
Zane is seen flying his dragon away

In the serpentine tombs the hypnobrai have Lloyd tied up
"Do something General. You're still under my control, right?." Lloyd asked Slithraa
"Enough! I am the general! You will return my staff at once!." Slithraa yelled
Skales looked at Slithraa
"No." Skales said
"You dare challenge my command?!."Slithraa asked furious
"Slither put! Slither pit! Slither pit! Slither pit!." The soldiers chanted
"I guess we'll have to fight for it... in the slither pit!." Skales yelled
The hypnobrai cheered as Skales and Slitheraa prepared to fight
"Winner gets the staff and leads the tribe! You know the rules. There are none, but in the slither pit. Whatever I say goes. Alright fight!." Mezmo yelled as the fight commences, the duo evenly tied in the first match, as this happened Lloyd spotted a map and grabbed it and hid it without anyone noticing
"Two weapons!." Mezmo yelled as the second match commenced as weapon racks were lowered, Slitheraa takes a pick-axe and a shield while Skales takes two katanas, Slitheraa throws the pick-axe but Skales dodged it
"Side winder!." Mezmo yelled as the area is tilted and the two snakes are sliding down
"Go general go!." Lloyd yelled as Slithraa tried to hypnotise Skales, but Skales kicks him to stop it, he then used a move that dizzies Slitheraa, he then kicks him to the ground
"He used Fang-kwon-Do!." Rattla yelled
"Get up! Get up!." Lloyd yelled worriedly unfortunately he doesn't which makes Skales the winner
"We have a winner!." Mezmo yells as Skales gains a tail and general markings while Slitheraa loses his back to his warrior markings and his tail as his legs
"Skales! Skales! Skales! Skales! Skales! Skales!." They chanted
"You will be loyal to me now!." Skales said to Slitheraa who complied
"I will do as you command." Slitheraa said as Skales looks at Lloyd
"You! Leave and never return!." Skales yelled as Lloyd gasps in response

Back with the ninja, they are seen on the Mountain of impossible highest, trying to gain their spirits
"What are we eating again?." Kai asked stuttering little
"Mud newt. Not bad for something that lived underground." Cole said as Jay looks disgusted
"What?." Jay asked as he spat out the piece he was eating by throwing the rest away, he then grabs a rock and throws it in a can
"Yeah! A new high score!." Jay stutters a little
Nya looks over to where (Y/N) was sitting, along and away from everyone, Nya gets up with some food and walks up to him, seeing him cuddle his knees
"Hey." Nya spoke softly
"Hi." (Y/N) spoke sadly
"You need to eat, to regain your strength." Nya said offering you the food
"No thanks." (Y/N) mumbled as he continued to look at the sun set
Nya sat next to him
"I'm sorry about your home." Nya said
"It's okay, we didn't think about the consequences." (Y/N) said as he looked at the sun set still
Nya sighed as she walked off giving him one last glance
"Yeah, I miss Zane." Jay said sadly as Nya made it over she saw something
"Zane?." Nya asked as Jay looked at her
"Yeah, Zane. You know, white ninja. The smart, strange one." Jay said
"No!." She points at Zane
"Zane!." She exclaimed as everyone looked and saw Zane
"Zane!." They all yelled as they run to him
"Zane were so sorry for everything we've said. We're a team and that means we're all responsible." Jay said
"You don't need to apologise to me." Zane smiled
"But what about all those awful things we said? Isn't that why you left?." Kai asked
"Of course not, I saw the Falcon again and I followed him." Zane said
"That's our Zane." Cole said as they hugged him
Jay noticed (Y/N) next to him and looked down
"Hey (Y/N), I'm sorry about not caring about our home being destroyed, I should have worried more about us than myself." Jay apologised as (Y/N) sighed
"I'm sorry I punched you Jay, you didn't deserve it, i was just stressed and scared and sad." (Y/N) said as Jay looked at him raising his fist
"Friends?." Jay asked as (Y/N) smiled fist bumping him
"Friends." (Y/N) said smiling as they turned back to Zane and the others who smiled before looking at Zane again
"We're happy to have you back." Nya said smiling
"Why? Is it my turn to make dinner?." Zane asked as everyone started laughing
"Yes Zane. We would live for you to make dinner." Wu smiled
"But I already made it. Come. I want to show you what I've found. I think you will be pleased." Zane said as they began walking off to the sea of sand
"I can't explain it. But I feel a strange connection with the Falcon. I think he's trying to help show us the path we need to take." Zane said as they saw the Destiny's Bounty up ahead making everyone look in surprise
"Our new home." Zane smiled as Jay smelt something
"Do I smell pie?." Jay asked
"Cobbler berry. Oh and I made Myrtle berry and apple and- before Zane could continue everyone excluding Wu and (Y/N) ran to the bounty
""I'm proud of you Zane. One day I promise we will find your family." Wu said as Zane only smiled
"But I've already found them." Zane smiled
"And we're glad to have you as one of ours." (Y/N) smiled
"Sensei, will I become the Green Ninja?." Zane asked
"It's too early to tell, but if it's in your path, you'll know. Come now. It would be a shame to let them eat all that pie." Wu said as the trio walk to the bounty
The ninja enjoy their dinner while food fighting with each other while Lloyd watches from afar, upset and jealous, he then walks away by himself

Later that night (Y/N) gazes upon the stars as Nya sits next to him
"Hey Nya." (Y/N) smiled
"Good to see your back to normal." Nya smiled back as (Y/N) gazed upon the stars
"This is going to be a new life for us, but an exciting one." (Y/N) said as the others sat with him
"I couldn't agree more." Kai said
"Yeah, I couldn't have asked for a better team." Cole said
"I couldn't have asked for a better family." Zane smiled
"We're all In this together, cause that's what we do." Jay smiled as they continued to watch the stars while Wu drinks tea
