Y/N's POV

The night was calm, the streets bathed in the gentle glow of streetlights. A shiver running down my spine despite the warmth of the night. The grocery store was just a few blocks away, a short walk that I often enjoyed, especially on quiet nights like this.

As I walked, my mind wandered, thoughts drifting to the events of the day. It was pretty since I have made a new friend but something still felt off.

I wish I could have spent more time with Soobin.

The store came into view, its bright lights spilling out onto the sidewalk. Stepping inside, I was greeted by the familiar sights and smells of the place. I made my way through the aisles, carefully selecting the items on my list.

I looked for my favorite biscuits and stocked them into the trolley. Moving on to another shelf, I took munchies and bought four-five packets at once since I don't come every day to do grocery shopping.

As I reached for a box of cereal, my hand brushed against another, and I looked up to see a familiar face. And I felt my world stopping.

Choi Soobin. It was indeed him.

His touch sends a jolt through me, my heart skipping a beat as if time itself has paused. I glance up, meeting his gaze, and for a moment, everything else fades away. The bustling grocery store, the sounds of people chatting and carts rolling—all of it fades into the background, leaving just the two of us in this fleeting moment.

Y/N : Soobin.

I say softly, my voice barely above a whisper. He smiles, a gentle, understanding look in his eyes. It's a simple gesture, just a brief touch, but it speaks volumes.

Soobin : Hey.

We exchanged pleasantries, and I couldn't help but notice the way his eyes lingered on me, as if trying to convey something more.

Y/N : Do you live nearby?

Soobin : Yeah. Just down the street. Where do you?

Y/N : In the dormitory.

We payed for our groceries at the counter and walked out of the store.

Soobin : Let me have it.

He tried to hold my polythene.

Y/N : Oh no, it's alright. I live nearby.

Soobin : Then I'll walk you to your dorm.

Y/N : Uh... Thanks.

As we walked together under the moonlit sky, my heart fluttered in my chest. Soobin's presence beside me felt both comforting and exhilarating. The night was cool, and a gentle breeze rustled the leaves, creating a peaceful atmosphere around us.

Y/N : Soobin, thank you for walking me here.

Soobin : It's alright. After all, it's dark and you shouldn't be walking alone.

I felt a warmth spreading through me at his words. As we approached my dormitory, I couldn't help but feel a pang of sadness that our time together was coming to an end.

I felt a tear slip down my cheek, a silent testament to the emotions swirling inside me. Soobin noticed it and looked at me with worry clearly seen in his eyes.

Soobin : Y/N, are you okay?

He asked, 'concern' lacing his words. I nodded, unable to speak, afraid that if I did, my emotions would overflow.
