AUTHOR'S POV

Y/N : Soobin, look at that roller coaster! It's so high!

Y/N exclaimed, pointing at the towering ride. Soobin grinned, taking her hand in his.

Soobin : Do you want to go on it?

Y/N : Are you serious? I've never been on a roller coaster before!

Soobin : Don't worry snugglebug, I'll hold your hand the entire time.

As they approached the line, Y/N couldn't help but feel nervous. Soobin noticed and squeezed her hand reassuringly.

Soobin : It's going to be fun, I promise.

_

After the exhilarating ride, Y/N's hair was a mess, and she was laughing uncontrollably. Soobin couldn't help but admire her infectious joy.

Y/N : You were right, Soobin. That was amazing! But my hair, they look so weird.

Soobin : But I still adore them.

Y/N : Don't be so cheesy.

As they walked through the park, they came across a game booth. Soobin eyed the prizes, a determined look on his face.

Soobin : Let's win something for you.

Y/N : Can you?

Soobin : Of course, I can! Just watch and learn.

Y/N : Oh, I'll be watching, but I doubt I'll be learning much.

Soobin grinned, undeterred. He handed over the money and stepped up to the game booth, where a challenging-looking game awaited. Y/N watched as he focused intently, determined to win.

After a few tries, Soobin's competitive spirit paid off, and he managed to win a small prize—a cute keychain. He turned to Y/N with a triumphant grin, holding out the prize.

Soobin : Ta-da! I told you I could do it.

Soobin said, presenting the keychain to her. Y/N took the keychain, a look of mock surprise on her face.

Y/N : Wow, I'm impressed! Maybe I should take notes after all.

Soobin : Hey, I'll have you know, I'm a master at these games.

Y/N : Then how about a basketball match with Taehyun?

Soobin : That was personal. Jeez.

As they continued to explore the amusement park, Soobin's determination to win more prizes never wavered. He tried his hand at various games, winning some and losing others, but always with a smile on his face.

Y/N watched him, her heart swelling with affection. She loved this side of Soobin—the competitive yet playful nature that he rarely showed to anyone else.

Soobin and Y/N stumbled upon an old-fashioned photo booth. Intrigued, they decided to give it a try, stepping inside and closing the curtain behind them.

The booth was small and cozy, with a bench for them to sit on. The camera flashed, capturing their first picture—a silly pose with goofy smiles.

Soobin : Let's take another one.

He pulled her closer to him. She grinned, feeling a rush of excitement. As they posed for the next picture, Soobin leaned in, capturing her lips in a gentle kiss. The camera flashed again, freezing the moment in time.

Y/N's heart skipped a beat, and she responded eagerly, deepening the kiss. Their hands intertwined, holding onto each other as if they never wanted to let go.

The next few pictures were a blur as they lost themselves in each other, the intensity of their kisses increasing with each flash of the camera. The booth seemed to disappear around them, leaving only the two of them locked in a passionate embrace.

When the final picture was taken, they reluctantly pulled away, breathless and flushed. As they stepped out of the booth, they were greeted by the amused looks of the people waiting in line.

Embarrassed yet exhilarated, Soobin and Y/N couldn't stop smiling as they collected their pictures—a series of moments frozen in time, capturing their love and happiness in the most unexpected of places.

Soobin : Do you want a drink?

Y/N : Yeah.

Soobin : Let's go grab one!

Soobin left to grab a drink for both of them while Y/N was resting beneath a giant merry-go-around. She grinned watching from afar thinking how things have turned out to be.

She couldn't help but admire him—the way his eyes sparkled with joy, the way his hair tousled in the gentle breeze, the way his smile could light up even the darkest of days.

She had known Soobin for a while now, but there was something about him that still made her heart flutter every time she saw him.

As she watched him, a sense of warmth spread through her chest. She felt lucky to know him, to have him in her life after all those circumstances.

Suddenly, there was a loud creaking sound followed by a series of crashes. The giant merry-go-round began to shudder and shake violently, breaking apart into pieces. In the chaos, a large wooden horse broke loose and flew towards Y/N, hitting her with a loud thud. She fell to the ground, stunned and in pain, as people around her screamed and scattered.

Soobin ran towards her kneeling down to her unconscious body screaming for help. Tears streamed down his face as the emotions of worry and guilt washed over him that he could have protected her.

Y/N's POV

I woke in a room that was both unfamiliar and strangely familiar. The soft light filtering through the curtains cast a warm glow over the room, and the scent of familiar perfume filled the air. Confused, I looked around, my eyes landing on the woman sitting beside my bed cutting vegetables. It was my mother.

Y/N : Mom?

Mom : Oh god, you're finally awake!

Y/N : Why am I here?

Mom : Then where should you be?

Y/N : Amusement park— or a hospital.

Mom : Don't you kid me early in the morning. Start packing up your stuff today. You have to leave tomorrow.

Y/N : Leave where?

She suddenly gave me a light hit on my head.

Mom : Don't be so dumb. What have you been dreaming that made you so?

Suddenly I felt an unexpected pang in my heart.

Y/N : What day is it mom?

Mom : May 21.

Y/N : I-It can't be.

Mom : Go freshen up then come down for breakfast.

As she left, I hastily grabbed my phone from the stand beside the bed and checked the date.

May 21, 2023.

This can't be true.

You have got to be kidding me.

I clearly remember it was March 24, 2024.
