Third person's pov

"You're here,"

Roseanne smiles as she tiptoes to kiss Harin on the cheek. The latter grins before passing the lanky blonde a bouquet of fresh flowers she has gotten only for her.

"Oh," Roseanne stares at them for a second. They remind her of something she has seen in Paris. Particularly that beautiful garden belongs to Harin's mother.

"Lily of the valley," Harin whispers shyly. "Oh yes," Roseanne's face turns a shade crimson. She chews her lower lip for a second before pulling herself together.

"I'm sorry, I was trying to verify my own memory ..." "It's alright, Roseanne" Harin lights up the mood with her easy smile.

"We're not supposed to remember everything. I know that" she says before looking around.

"You've got yourself a nice apartment," the CEO compliments. "Not really mine," Roseanne replies as she locks the door.

"You can take your shoes off from here and put on that house slippers instead," her long, pale finger pointing at a pair of beige slippers sitting in front of a knee - height dresser. Harin nods and trades her own pair of Oxfords for that slipshoe.

"May I ask what it means when you say it's not really yours?"

Harin arches her eyebrows in confusion. But still, she follows Roseanne into another hall where an empty vase awaits on a long baroque style table near the window.

"It belongs to my mother," the blonde says while focusing on the task at hand; where she tries to transfer the flowers into the vase. "Let me help you," Harin offers, taking the lead.

She gathers all of the lilies in her palm before gently, with the other free hand, guides the vase so as to not fall off the table.

"There it goes," she trades a smile, tilting her head just in the right angle so that she can see Roseanne doing the same. "Beautiful vase by the way,"

"Thank you," Roseanne puts the vase back where it belongs. "Everything inside this place belongs to my mother. And if you are wondering if the woman in the portrait above the fireplace is her, it is her"

"She looks amazing," Harin praises. "Maybe that's why you look so ravishing yourself,"

"Are you talking about yourself?"

Roseanne chuckles. "Well, I can confirm to you that all the beauty that I am, comes from my mother too," Harin says proudly.

"You have seen her picture when we were at her place. You know I'm not pulling your leg"

"I know" Roseanne sits down. They are back in the first hall they previously were. A hall that is exclusively made to host guests.

"Speaking about your mother," Harin looks left and right before scooting a little closer to Roseanne. "Where is she?"

That particular question makes Roseanne stare at her for a moment. "You really have no idea about it?" Her voice goes soft at the end of it like a whisper. Harin shakes her head. "No?"

"I lost my mother too..."

"What? I'm ... I'm sorry, Roseanne ..."

"It's been a few years now"

Roseanne smiles sadly.

"And you don't have to feel bad about it, Harin. It's certainly not a subject I tell so many people about, although they might have known about it if they do a reading about my background... But it seems like you haven't ... Which ... I don't know ... A little weird, don't you think?"
