Sonic and Shadow are rivals in many things. Who's the fastest, who's the best, who's the strongest and so on and so on.
Yet, over the years, Shadow has grown tired of this silly rivalry between them as it seems to have no end. Sonic would never stop.
The only thing that Shadow still saw as his biggest battle with Sonic was... who had Amy Rose's heart?
Sure, The pink female had loved Sonic nearly all her life and she was still soft on him, but not as bad as it used to be.
So when she started to hang out with Shadow, Sonic got jealous for once, and tried to step in between black and pink hedgehogs.
And it pissed Shadow off.
If it hadn't been for Amy, then Shadow would have let Sonic get an easy win to end the dumb rivalry between them. But now he can't, because he doesn't want to lose Amy once again.
