Summoning every last ounce of strength, I forced myself upright, leaning heavily on the railing for support. With each movement sending waves of agony coursing through me, I steeled my resolve, determined to complete my task before time ran out. Fueled by sheer determination and a fierce will to survive, I pushed forward, every step a testament to the indomitable spirit that burned within me.

With determination etched on my face, I forged my path through the throng, enduring blows and smacks with a stoic resolve. At last, I found myself astride the creature once more, its rough hide beneath me a familiar comfort.

Methodically, I worked through the strings in reverse order, each pluck sending a surge of hope through my veins. Then, amidst the chaos and pain, the sweet sound I longed for—string 27.

Disengaging from the creature, I sprinted back to my tab, my vision awash with red from the relentless flow of blood. With trembling hands, I carefully secured the string in its designated place, the crimson stains on the tab bearing witness to my unwavering determination.

As I stood there, my heart pounding, I knew that the journey was far from over. Yet, in that moment, I felt a flicker of triumph. The road had been treacherous, but I had faced it head-on, refusing to yield to the darkness that threatened to engulf me. Victory beckoned, and I was ready to seize it with all my might.

With just four strings remaining before the creature turned its attention back to me, I wasted no time in springing into action. Racing after the demon, I sought out the assistance of the individual who had already claimed a perch atop the creature.

Summoning every ounce of agility and determination, I leapt onto the demon's back once more, the memory of the sounds from the lower strings guiding my every move. With precision born of necessity, I tested the strings against the mesh, identifying the distinct tones of string 14 and string 19.

With a sense of urgency, I dashed back to my tab, the rhythm of my heart matching the pace of my steps. Carefully, I arranged the strings according to their designated positions, the anticipation of success mingling with the exhaustion that threatened to overwhelm me.

As I stood there, surveying my handiwork, I knew that time was of the essence. With each string placed, I drew one step closer to victory, my determination unyielding in the face of adversity.

Despite the fatigue threatening to engulf me and the relentless loss of blood, a flicker of determination ignited within me as I summoned the strength to press on. With only two strings remaining, their higher notes signaling their presence, I knew that victory lay within reach.

Summoning the last vestiges of my energy, I made my way to the demon once more, finding myself alongside a girl who had also claimed a perch atop the creature. Ignoring the discomfort of landing in her lap, I focused solely on the task at hand.

With a steadfast resolve, I began testing the remaining strings, one by one backwards, with the girl's unwanted assistance. Despite her attempts to dislodge me, I remained steadfast, my determination unyielding.

Finally, as if guided by fate, I identified the distinct tones of string 20 and string 24.

As I leapt down from the demon's back with a jolt of force, compounded by the girl's pushing and my own weary body's inability to muster the energy to jump properly, I stumbled towards the tab. With trembling hands, I arranged the final string beside its corresponding number, my heart pounding with uncertainty.

Doubt gnawed at me—what if I had made a mistake? Should I take the time to recheck? But before I could act on these thoughts, the air was rent with a deafening screech, accompanied by cries and the sickening sound of carnage.

My eyes snapped open, only to witness the horrifying spectacle of the demon devouring a hapless victim, blood flowing like a river. With a surge of revulsion and terror, I abandoned any notion of double-checking and hastily pressed the buzzer, my only thought was to escape the nightmarish scene unfolding before me.

As I fled towards the door, my legs gave way beneath me, and I collapsed to the ground, gasping for breath.
