The Narrator X Reader (romantic Au): Guardian Angel

you were drawing in your book at a park picnic table
Stanley sees you're drawing and looks over your shoulder to see what you're drawing
the drawing is of a male angel
Stanley looks confused and curious about you
you then begin to explain
"i had gotten into a car accident yet was saved by what seemed to be an angel. i haven't been able to get it off my mind since" you explain
though, in heaven there was the angel
he was met with other angels
"what do you have to say for yourself narrator?" they ask
"they've been my human for so long, i couldn't just leave them" he explains
"you have to understand curator, they mean to much to me" he says
"that does not matter. you know of the rules, you are unable to interfere with a human's potential demise" the curator explains
the other angels nod their heads
"i don't care, i will protect them no matter what" he says
the curator then gets an idea
they grin
"is that so? if that's the case, let's make a deal" the curator says clearly scheming something
"what's the deal" he asks
"if you can save your human as a human yourself, then you are able to stay with them forever, if not, you will be sent to hell" the curator says
without much thought to it he agrees
as he does the curator's gin grows
"good luck, you're going to need it" they say before sending him to earth
he is sent to earth now as a human
he looks around and notices that this doesn't seem to be a place you go, not that he's seen in all of his years of protecting you at least
he begins to try and find you
as he's searching for you you're still talking with Stanley
you continue to talk about the man who saved you
Stanley has been teasing you almost the whole time
once the narrator finally gets to you and Stanley he sees you trip on the road as a car is speeding right for you
he pushes you out of the way
it was quite the shock for all three of you
once you look at the narrator you realize that he looks just like the angel you saw
he holds out a hand to help you up
you take it a feel yourself start to blush
the narrator is also blushing
you both introduce yourself as Stanley watches
you then both plan to meet again at some point
as you walk away excited
*i believe that was your angel boy* he says and then chuckles as you continue to walk
the narrator is happy that he has filled his end of the deal
