That night after dinner, Kayla went to her dorm and lazily strolled to her room. She had met Max earlier and he told her Robin and Martin only asked him questions about himself like... What he studied.

Kayla found it hard to believe but she she didn't think Max was lying. On getting to her room, she opened the door and entered but then Jayden who was already inside the room closed the door immediately she got in and leaned towards her. While a shocked Kayla rested her back against the door.

" Can you just stop coming here?" Kayla said with a frown
" Why?" Jayden asked, his hand still resting on the door as he stared down at Kayla..
" Don't you know what's called personal space?" Kayla blurted angrily but Jayden did not reply.

Kayla then tried moving away but he didn't let her, placing his other hand on the door now trapping her between his arms. Kayla raised her face to look at him.
" What do you want? You don't have any property here so I don't see why you are here" Kayla said.

" I do have something here" Jayden said with a blank expression.
" Then take it and leave" she said dropping her gaze.
" Now, not that fast. Trying to get rid of me already?" He asked. Kayla looked at him again.
They both stared at each other for a while.

" His name is Max, right?" Jayden asked breaking the silence. He was frowning and Kayla panicked.
" What do you want with him? He didn't do anything to you" Kayla said anxiously. Jayden moved away from her and stood backing her.
" How protective" he muttered.
" Leave him alone" Kayla said loudly.

Jayden turned back to her.
" I have no intention of harming him" Jayden said and once Kayla relaxed a little " yet" he added. Kayla glared at him.

He walked to her chair and sat throwing his head backward.
" Please leave" Kayla said as she walked towards him. He looked at her.
" How much do you want me to stay away?" Jayden asked. Kayla knew he probably didn't really want to know. She was scared but this was her territory.

" As far away as possible" she said and all Jayden did was nod. He stood up and walked very close to her. Kayla stood not wanting him to know she was frightened by him. His height towering over her and causing her to crane her head to meet his eyes.
" Do you know how much danger you'll be in if I decide to - stay - away?" He asked counting the last two words.

Kayla gulped.
" Like you aren't the one causing all the trouble for me. Besides, why do you care?" She asked making Jayden question himself as well. ' Why do I care?' Jayden asked himself not removing his eyes from her. He frowned, he was getting angry.

She wanted him to stay away. Fine.
" I don't care" he said. The words coated with anger. He never knew how to contain his anger. He would always vent it out one way or the other and since he met this little human creature in front of him. His anger issues had been getting out of control

" I don't care" Jayden repeated, not just to Kayla but also to himself. Kayla remained on the spot looking at him
' He didn't care' She thought. She was right, he was just a devil. She did feel hurt though. She had been telling herself she didn't care about him and didn't want him around, but hearing him say he didn't care about her hurt her so much.

" Then leave me alone" Kayla voiced out, trying everything she could to look confident. Jayden walked away from her and soon started pacing unknowing to himself. He was trying to keep both his anger and disappointment in check. He needed something to destroy but was trying to keep it in, not wanting to destroy anything that belonged to Kayla or scare her.

He stopped pacing and looked at her again.
" I'll give you a week to think about it and then make your final decision. For this one week. I'll stay away. Let's see if you can cope" Jayden said.
" I don't need you. Stay away forever" Kayla retorted.

Jayden stood starring at her. He nodded. Fine. She was ungrateful and a fool, a stupid human. He didn't want her. Who gave her the right to even speak to him the way she did, he's been too nice to her. He stared at her for a few more seconds before walking out of the room calmly and closed the door.

Kayla's shoulders immediately fell as she took in a deep breath. Hopefully he stays away. If he does. Maybe, just maybe everything would go back to normal.

Two days past and Jayden had not gone anywhere near Kayla. Infact she had not seen him. She was supposed to be feeling relieved. Besides that was what she wanted but instead, she missed him, she wanted to see him. She felt worried.

Max had been keeping her company and she appreciated it. Jayden kept his side of the deal but Kayla couldn't help but wish he didn't. She hadn't gotten into any trouble, infact everything felt peaceful but still.....

On the third day. Kayla was late for lectures. She hurried into the building, walking in the hallway and then she sighted Jayden and a girl standing ahead. She stood watching. The girl seductively held Jayden's Jacket smiling while Jayden just stood looking at the girl, both his hands were in his pockets. Kayla couldn't help but scoff.

He soon noticed Kayla's presence. He looked at her, both their eyes meeting but Kayla immediately lowered her gaze. She started walking again. She walked past Jayden and quickly got to the door of her lecture hall and entered.

She felt a little..... Was it jealousy? No. She definitely wasn't jealous. When lectures were over, Kayla didn't go for lunch. Max went with Riya and Stella. Kayla wasn't hungry so she headed for her dorm.

Walking in the field alone. She saw Jayden and his crew standing ahead. Jayden looked at her. This was the second time she was seeing him that day after two days and he wouldn't stop staring at her. At least he wasn't disturbing her. Kayla walked past them and headed for her dorm. They all looked at her until she got far enough.
