Months had whizzed by, years had trickled under the weight of groaning agony. But now, the shackles of oppression had been shattered. The cries of desperation has now turned into streams of hymns in praise and thanksgiving to the almighty.

They sat at the terrace smiling and watching the thronging crowds near the sacred river Ganges. The pundits stood worshiping the river, as flickers of million flames had dispelled the darkness of sorrows.

A smile of joy and contentment tugged at their lips until Ajabde finally turned to Kunwar Pratap saying, "I've always wanted to see Kashi glow like this. For a very long time, Kashi was shrouded under the darkness of misery. But today those shackles have finally been broken by you."

Kunwar Pratap smiled replying, "Had it not been for you, I wouldn't have been able to do any of this

Kunwar Pratap smiled replying, "Had it not been for you, I wouldn't have been able to do any of this. Kashi ows it's freedom and happiness to you."

Ajabde shook her head saying, "No one owes anyone anything. What you did, was your duty as a warrior."

Kunwar Pratap nodded and continued to watch the aarti with delighted eyes until Ajabde asked, "But...why did you not agree nor listen to Rajkumari Heer kanwar when she tried to convince you?"

The sudden question made Kunwar Pratap thoughtful for a moment until he said, "Umm...well...she wasn't too convincing..."

After a moment, he quickly added, "Moreover, Rajkumari Heer kanwar is not you Ajabde. You're different..."

Ajabde glanced at him from the corner of her eyes, wondering what he meant by 'different'.

On the other hand Kunwar Pratap looked away wondering, what on earth did you say! What will she think now?

"Umm...I I ....mean..."

"I understood

"I understood." She interjected. "Rajkumari Heer kanwar is a girl, but you see me as a boy."

"Hein!" Exclaimed Kunwar Pratap puzzled for a moment. Shaking his head he tried to explain himself in vain, making Ajabde laugh at him saying, "I'm just teasing you..."
