[Open on a dark backstage. Luz is seen holding a piece of paper]
Luz: I-I'm not ready for this Izuku. Maybe we should go back.
Izuku: Come on Luz. We're already got this far, there's no going back.
Luz: B-but, what if...what if I mess something up? Or what if I do something wrong? [Gasps] What if I die?!
Izuku: Luz, don't be dramatic.
Eda: Yeah, he's right and calm down, I had to do the same thing when I was a Witchling. It's like a rite of passage. Granted, I was a little more skilled.
Izuku: Eda! Not helping!
[Izuku points at Luz who is more nerviest checking]
Izuku: [Places a hand on Luz's shoulder] Come on, Eda's only joking. [Looks back at Eda; eyes gleaming red] RIGHT?
Eda: [Gulps] Yup, right, right. Sorry, sorry. Now, get pumped!
Luz: Pumped!
Eda: Get ready!
Luz: [Pulls hood up] Ready!
Eda and Izuku: Now! Go! [Shoves her]
[Cut to the stage, a spotlight at the closes curtains and a banner reading, "ENTRANCE EXAMS". The curtains open, Luz jumps on stage in a dark cloak]
Luz: [In a movie trailer narrator voice] From the humblest of beginnings, a hero will rise. [In her normal voice] I have traveled from the Human Realm and trained with a powerful witch to master the dark and forbidden! I am... [Takes off her cloak with a twirl] Luz Noceda!
[The camera turns to reveal the audiences, which is empty except for one lone Principal Bump sitting in the front row seats with a clipboard]
Luz: [Chuckles nervously; awkwardly tosses confetti out of a fanny pack] Confetti! ]
Principal Bump: Right. One of the humans that wants to be a witch. Against my better judgement, I have allowed you and Izuku to take this exam into Hexside. But can you even do magic with all your.....human parts?
Luz: I sure can! [Opens her fanny pack] It's said that humans can't do magic- [Pulls out some of her Glyphs] -But I discovered a lost technique that changes everything!
Principal Bump: Hmmm?
[Eda gives two thumbs up backstage as Izuku gives a reassuring smile and nod. Luz activates the light glyph and lets the ball rise. She moves the under the light and activates it. Luz beams and does jazz hands and makes a small ice pillar]
Principal Bump: Spells casts with papers? I've never heard of such thing. [To himself] But is it enough to pass the exam?
Luz: Uuh...
Izuku: [Whispers] Luz!
Luz: [Looks at him] What?
Izuku and Eda: Improvise!
Luz: Um, I can do other things! Like, what about....this? [Stands, flips eyelids inside out] Bleep. bloop, bleep.
[Principal Bump was not impressed]
Luz: Ow! Ow! Eyelash! Eyelash!
[Luz slips on the now melted ice pillar and falls into her abandoned cloak. She stands and tires to free herself, falling off the stage and onto Principal Bump. She rolls off of him]
Luz: Sorry, sorry, sorry! [Places hand on an ice glyph] Whoops! Ah!
[The ice pillar lifts her up by one foot until she's eye level with Principal Bump]
