Chapter 11 | The Book and the Guitar

The party will last for a few hours, and I have to attend even though I don't feel like it. It's not that I'm lazy - I just don't want to be in a situation where people surround me. I'm feeling anxious about what might happen and what someone with malicious intent could do. 

I am typically not someone who relishes solitude, but my current fear prohibits me from being in close proximity to others or engaging in conversation. I am uncertain when this situation will come to an end, and I am apprehensive about encountering the individual responsible.

Jungkook has no interest in going to the party but as he has given his word already he has to. With small jelly feet, Jungkook headed towards the wardrobe to catch up on some presentable clothes. Jungkook is not fond of books much but he loves to read life lessons through books. He has a small book stand at the side of the room to store his favorite books which helped him through the start of his 20s. A small book stand containing best-seller life lesson books e.g. Atomic Habits, The Alchemist, Ikigai.

Jungkook simply passed the stand but somehow his eyes fell upon a book, Pride and Prejudice. "Wait this is not my book from where it came?" Jungkook slowly picked up the book from the place. Jungkook knows this book and the author too. "Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen." Jungkook spelled. 

He noticed some sticky note pieces were attached to some pages. By turning over pages he noticed some lines marked with baby pink highlighter on the pages where the sticky notes are attached. The lines sound like this: 

" 𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐝 𝐦𝐞 𝐛𝐨𝐝𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐨𝐮𝐥, 𝐀𝐧𝐝 𝐈 𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞, 𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞, 𝐈 𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮."

" 𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐦𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐰 𝐦𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐞𝐥𝐥 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐡𝐨𝐰 𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐥𝐲 𝐈 𝐚𝐝𝐦𝐢𝐫𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮. "

He turned one more page but this time more than one line is marked with love marks. A conversation probably. 

" 𝐍𝐨𝐰 𝐛𝐞 𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐫𝐞; 𝐃𝐢𝐝 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐚𝐝𝐦𝐢𝐫𝐞 𝐦𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐦𝐲 𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞?"

" 𝐅𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐝, 𝐈 𝐝𝐢𝐝." 

As his heart raced, a wave of emotions washed over him, causing a whirlwind of thoughts to swirl in his mind. He couldn't help but ponder whether the person he once deemed as bad was perhaps not as terrible as he had believed. At that moment, Jungkook's intuition unmistakably identified the individual as his devoted and infatuated lover.

Jungkook closed the book with an intense wave of emotions within him he can't he should smile or should be afraid? If he really says honestly the scared feeling isn't coming at the moment.
