Nova giggled at the boys excitement over that radio. "So basically for Jessica's flying potion we need a plant called the Melegueta spice and we don't have it." Lukas continued.
Oh yeah i've heard of that.. What are you saying though?
"We need you to come bring us some, we can't be caught out of the world we are in" Lukas added.
Where are you exactly..?
Radar said that with a worried tone. "We are in the Fire World."
Oh.. oh.
While Lukas was talking to Radar, Jessica and Alex went into the arena alone to start practicing her powers.
"Today's the day, Jessica," Alex said, her voice steady and reassuring. "You're ready."
Jessica swallowed hard, nodding. She had been learning and at first, it had been overwhelming—a glass shattering when she was angry, a book flying off the shelf when she was frustrated. But Alex had guided her through it all, teaching her how to focus, how to channel her emotions into something productive.
"Remember," Alex continued, "it's all about control. Your power comes from within, but it's your mind that directs it. Clear your thoughts. Focus on the object, not the outcome."
Jessica closed her eyes, taking a deep breath. She could feel the energy within her, a swirling mass of potential just waiting to be unleashed. She had to trust herself.
She had to believe.
When she opened her eyes, she fixed her gaze on a small, rock on the arena floor. It was the perfect test—simple, but challenging enough to require real concentration.
"Visualize it moving," Alex instructed. "Feel the connection between you and the stone. It's an extension of your will."
Jessica stared at the stone, willing it to rise. At first, nothing happened. She could feel the familiar frustration bubbling up.
"Alex I can't-" She started but then stoped to remember Alex's teachings. She took another deep breath, letting the frustration dissipate. Slowly, she extended her hand, palm facing the stone.
Jessica could feel a tingling sensation in her fingertips, a sign that her power was awakening. She focused harder, imagining the stone lifting off the ground, hovering in the air.
And then, it happened. The stone wobbled slightly, then rose a few inches off the ground. Jessica's eyes widened in amazement, but she quickly refocused, maintaining her concentration.
"You're doing it," Alex said, her voice filled with pride. "Keep going."
She raised the stone higher, feeling a surge of energy and excitement. She was doing it. She was really doing it. For a moment, she lost herself in the thrill of her success, and the stone wavered, starting to drop. But she caught herself, re-centering her focus and holding the stone steady.
"Excellent," Alex said. "Now, gently bring it back down."
Jessica nodded, guiding the stone back to the ground with her mind. As it settled back onto the floor, she let out a breath she hadn't realized she was holding. She turned to Alex, a wide grin spreading across her face.
"I did it," she said, barely able to contain her excitement.
Alex smiled back, her eyes twinkling with pride. "Yes, you did. You've come a long way, Jessica. But this is just the beginning. There's so much more you're capable of."
Jessica, for the first time in a while, felt determination. She had tasted success, and she wanted more. She wanted to master her abilities, to explore the full extent of what she could do. With Alex's guidance, she knew she could achieve anything.
"Thank you, Alex," she said, her voice filled with gratitude. "I couldn't have done it without you, but I thought you said I had to be angry?"
Alex shook her head. "You had the power all along, Jessica. I just helped you find it. Remember, your greatest strength lies within you. Trust yourself, and you'll be unstoppable."
Jessica smiled as she turned to see her friends watching her from the window, rushing down.
"Jessica you did it !" Petra squealed with excitement picking her friend up with a hug.
All of her friends circled her to congratulate her and she thought, maybe this won't be as bad as she thought it would.
