Chapter 16 ~ The Warden

(Ivor and Nova)

"Maybe we need something like shulkers or elyria wings in it?" Nova suggests as Ivor was trying everything he could think of.

He just kept working he didn't listen. "Ivor!" Nova yelled and he finally looked over at her. "I've almost got I just need one more thing, but I don't know what it is" Ivor said.

Nova went over and took the bottle from him and lightly whiffed at it. "Oh! I think you need to mis it with a potion of falling and it would be ready." She suggested going to grab the ingredients to make it.

Ivor whiffed it as well, "You're right! Hurry we don't have much time left." Nova quickly made the potion and handed it to Ivor.

He mixed the potions together 50/50 and a big poof appeared. The bottle was a bright purple color and Nova quickly put it into the slot.

It dinged green and a door open to another room that had windows looking down into another room. Ivor grabbed all the potions for later and they both quickly rushed over to the next room.

"Lukas!" Nova screamed. Down below they saw Jessica and Lukas fighting many monster with only a bow and arrows.

After the doors had opened Lukas and Jessica both received better bows with enchantments on them and continued to fight the monsters.

(Cassie and Aiden)

"Ok, that one is F and the last one is E." Cassie said to Aiden as he adjusted the music boxes.

"And that should be it" She said standing up from the steps they had built before. "Alright I hope this works." Aiden says pulling the lever and they hear the music.

"It just sounds like Happy Birthday?" Cassie said but then soon the last green light flickered green and a door opened up.

They both ran through to see Ivor and Nova looking down through the window. They looked down to see Jessica and Lukas fighting but when they got there, half of the mobs disappeared.

Maybe they would actually be able to win this.

"What's going on?" Aiden asked. "No idea. It seems like when we finish our rooms it helps them in a way." Ivor pointed out.

"Where is Petra and Jesse?" Cassie asked. "They haven't finished yet." Nova replied.

(Petra and Jesse)

"No." Jesse said dropping his sword. "How is he even here. He's not here. He's not here, is he? How-"

"Jesse! Calm down." Petra said putting both of her hands on his shoulders making him look at her. He looked up at her and looked back over at him.

"Petra, I can't kill him. I can't watch him die again." He said looking at her. She nodded and drew her sword as Jesse looked away. She slowly approached the pig and he oinked.

"I-" Petra started before Reuben started growing into a huge pig monster. She gulped and backed up, "Jesse. I might need your help here."

Jesse slowly opened his eyes and looked up at the monster. Jesse quickly picked up his sword and went after the pig. "Oh that is so messed up!" He yelled, stabbing the monster in its leg and it winced in pain.

Petra and Jesse both started to attack the pig and quickly for the upper hand. "Jesse! Hurry, Warrior Whip!" Petra yelled running over to him.

They grabbed each others wrist and They started to spin, Jesse then launched Petra to the top of the monster and she stabbed it right in the heart.

The monster groaned in pain as it fell to the ground and 'poof' the monster was gone.

Petra landed like spider man and Jesse ran over to her. "THAT. WAS. AWESOME." Jesse said jumping up and down and they hugged.

Soon the last check mark flashes green and a door opened. They both ran into the room to see Ivor, Nova, Cassie, and Aiden. "What's going on?" Petra asked as they stared down into the room where Jessica and Lukas were still fighting.

(Everyone)

"Damn it!" Lukas yelled as he got hit with his second arrow. On the wall, it kept track of how many times they were hit. Lukas had 2 hits and Jessica had none.

"We're not sure but every time someone finished their room, the room they are in gets easier somehow. For example, they got new enchanted bows when we finished ours." Ivor added looking down at Jessica.

Suddenly all the mobs disappeared and they had their hands on their knees trying to catch their breath until the final monster was spawned.

"J-Jess I'm running out of s-stamina here." Lukas said panting. "Come on. We have to push through, we're almost done." Jessica said making him stand up straight.

He took one more deep breath, "Ok. Let's do this." Lukas said arrows in one hand and his enchanted bow in the other.

"What is that thing?" Jessica wondered. It was a blue mob with horns, it's face was turning downwards. The floors with were the. covered in sculk.

"Oh no." Ivor said looking down at them with a hand on the window. "What?" Cassie asked.

"That's the Warden." Ivor says in shock. "The Warden from the Sunshine Institute Warden?" Jesse asked raising an eyebrow.

"No, this is a mob that is extremely powerful compared to the rest without any extra magic being done to it, like making it 10 times bigger or have the ability to fly. It's just naturally powerful, if they aren't careful, they could die."

"Shit!" Jessica yelled dodging a hit from a hit and rolling into Lukas. "Are you ok?" He asked picking her up looking at the monster.

"Yeah, I say our best bet with this monster is going on opposite sides and shooting it." Jessica said launching an arrow towards the Warden.

"Good idea." Lukas agreed and Jessica released the arrow and the Warden started running towards her so she ran in the other direction. Then Lukas hit it with and arrow.

They did this back and forth, making the Warden tired from running back and forth.

Then the Warden can running to Lukas but Jessica didn't have any arrows left.

She remembered he only had 1 life left and she ran as fast as she could to block Lukas from the hit, giving her the first X.

"Jess!" He yelled, Lukas then shot the arrow at the Warden in frustration and it finally disappeared.
