"Woah." Jesse said looking up at the tower. "The architecture on this thing is beautiful!" Lukas squeaked.
"Well, let's see what's up here." Jessica said drawing her sword and she entered the bottom of the tower and made her way up. They all followed her behind the spiral stairs.
She noticed that she was face to face with some arrows that were on the wall, sticking into a skull. Just then, she accidentally triggered a wire and she yelled, "Everyone duck!"
Everyone knelt down and the arrows flew right across their head onto the wall. "Phew! That was close." Petra said carefully stepping over the wire Jessica had stepped on before.
They made there was up to a small open area with a door. Jessica tried to open the door, "Look, there's a padlock." Jesse pointed.
"Also a button, press it!" Ivor said walking over to it and pushing it before anyone else. Then it started playing a musical tone.
"Wait.." Aiden said looking over at Cassie. "Happy Birthday? I don't get it." Petra said crossing her arms. "7532!" Aiden and Cassie yelled at the same time.
"What?" Nova said slightly raising an eyebrow. "Well? Try it!" Lukas said looking at Ivor who was still next to the keypad.
"What was the number again?" Ivor asked looking at the keypad. "7532." They both said in unison again. Ivor then entered the code, the light turned from red to green and they heard the door click.
"How did you-" Petra started but Cassie cut her off. "Does it matter? We got the door open!" She opened the door and held it open until everyone was inside.
"Alright, everyone fan out. Let's see what we can find." Jesse said holding a torch out.
The room was very dim and the only source of light they had were Jesse's torch and a candle that had been lit when they walked in.
It was dark outside, there was two windows with no glass. The room was quiet and it looked like someone had been living there. It had a bed, a desk, a chest, a bookshelf, and armor stand with a sword, and another small spiral stair case leading up.
"Hey, what about this Candle?" Petra said leaning her hands on the table it was on. Jessica walked over, "This candle didn't light itself, there has to be someone here."
Cassie walked over to the chest and Aiden followed behind her. "What's in there?" He asked and she opened it. "It's- full of food. And water." She said grabbing a bread to see if it was moldy.
"Someone has got to be here." Ivor said, "Yeah but, why would someone lock them self's in this tower?" Lukas asked.
Nova then look around the corner to see an opening in the wall, "Hey guys?" Everyone looked over at her. "There is another stair case going up." She said as she drew her sword and started to walk up.
"Everyone follow Nova, let's go." Jessica said pulling out her sword and following her. They all walked up the stairs and all they could hear were footsteps and humming.
"Petra stop humming!" Jessica whisper yelled. "I'm not humming you nitwit!" She whisper screamed back. When they got to the top, it led out to a balcony.
Nova peaked around the corner at the top of the stair case and gasped as she turned back around. "What?" Jessica whispered leaning in closer to hear her better.
"There is someone on the balcony!" Nova whispered shouted and Jessica's eyes widened.
She walked passed her and looked over. She started to walk on the balcony to see a girl who was the one humming from before.
"Show yourself!" Jessica yelled drawing her sword and she gasped as she turned around. Lukas and Jesse both face palmed as she did that.
Ivor and Nova both went next to her to back her up. She had bright green eyes and a ginger like orange hair. She had on a beautiful green long sleeved blouse and long white pants.
The woman then looked at Ivor with wide eyes, "Ivor?" Ivor's eyes widened when he looked over at her face, "Alex!" He yelled running over to her to hug her.
"Wait Ivor, how do you know this woman?" Jessica asked crossing her arms. Everyone else started making their way onto the balcony.
"Jessica, she used to be a very good friend of mine. We go wayyyy back!" Ivor said with a smile.
"Oh?" Lukas said raising an eyebrow. "Yeah, we used to go to school together and went to college together and I was a groomsman in her wedding." Ivor exclaimed.
"The hair was definitely not as long back then but, you guys made it past the challenge! Oh i'm so glad you are all here." She said covering her mouth with both hands hopping a little from excitement.
"How did you know we were coming?" Petra asked confused. "Well, I set it up." Alex answered.
"Wait, you sent us the everything? The maps? The letters?" Jessica asked putting her sword away. "Yes, that was me." Alex said nodding. "But why? How did you send my letter?" Aiden asked.
"That's something I cannot share with you, Aiden." She said. He had wide eyes, "How do you know his name?" Cassie asked.
"Look. I've read your book about the new Order of the Stone and everything about all the adventure you've done around the multiverse. And well- I've been stuck in this tower for quite some time. People have needed to complete Herobrine's challenge. Nobody has been able to so I found out a way to get you guys to come and here you guys are! Simple really." Alex said leaning against the wall.
"How are you stuck in this tower?" Jesse asked looking down over the balcony.
"My brother-in-law. He's Herobrine." Alex said look at Ivor. Ivor gasped and put his hand over his mouth.
"What about Steve?" Ivor asked worried. "I-I don't know. I haven't seen him in years." She said tearing up a bit.
"So I assume Steve is your husband, and then your brother-in-law locked you up... because?" Jessica asked, trying not to be rude.
"Yes, Steve is my husband. Brian is my brother-in-law's name. My husband wielded a great amount of power once from an Admin.
He was able to use his power to help the worlds. He was more powerful than anyone, and he even shared some of his power with others. He was able to gift it to people, even me.
But one day, Brian was so jealous of Steve's power that with the power Steve gave him. He was able to enhance his power. He locked me up in this tower and took my husband away.
I don't know what he did with him but he comes every week to see if i'm still here. I believe he took his power somehow along with almost everyone else's Steve gave to them
He was unsuccessful on taking an Admins power, he was only able to remove it. He can haunt people and he tries to get them to join him on taking over the world"
Lukas flinched when she said this.
"He created this challenge for someone to get me just to prove nobody else was worthy enough. Then I read your book and I really thought you guys could do it. I used my powers to send the letters and well, here you are." Alex added
"Wow. That was a lot to take in." Petra said.
"I don't get why he made my family move to a whole other world." Nova stated angrily.
"He needed competitors for his challenge. If they refused to do it, he made them live in the cold snowy village their whole lives." Alex stated.
"Oh my gosh, Nova im so sorry." Lukas said going over to her to hug her.
"But another reason I called for you guys is that, only me and one other person have powers left besides any other admin that might be left." Alex announced.
"And uhm- Who might that person be?" Jesse asked with a worried look on his eyes.
"Jessica."
