It was the next day after Jessica unleashed her super strength powers. The day before, everyone watched her as she lifting excessive amount of weights.
Day two on Alex's agenda for Jessica's powers was Telekinesis. Jessica didn't know how she was going to acquire all of her powers by just believing she could.
"Alright this one should be an easy day for you" Alex said.
Petra, Lukas, and Jessica were sitting in the meeting room while Jesse and Nova were in the library searching for a book.
"Why?" Jessica asked, sipping on a coffee.
"You have to be really mad to use your power so I'm actually surprised you haven't accidentally unleashed it yet." Alex teased and Jessica gave her a side eye.
"I have to admit Jessica, you do get pretty mad and you act mad all the time." Petra said, nudging her shoulder, "Not that it's a bad thing, like I said the other day..."
"Well I don't think Jess is mean all the time but-" Lukas defended.
"You basically have to pretend you're strangling whatever you're trying to pick up." Alex explained.
Jessica smirked as she took another sip of her coffee. "Let me guess, I gotta believe I can do it?" She asked.
Alex nodded and Jessica gave her a look of annoyance. "I thought this would be more heroic." Jessica admitted.
"And it is! You're going to save so many lives Jessica!" Petra butted in, "I know it might seem silly but you saw how much you lifted yesterday right?"
"Yeah yeah okay, lets get this over with." Jessica set her coffee and the 4 of them made their way to the area when they were stopped by Jesse.
"Hey Alex?" Jesse said peeking out the door.
"Yeah?" Alex asked.
"So we found this book we needed to finish the potion so we could let it set before she drank it. But the problem is, we don't have this ingredient here." Jesse said pointing at an ingredient in the book.
"What even is that?" Jessica asked crossing her arms and squinting her eyes to look at the image.
"They are called the Grains of Paradise," Nova said walking over to the door. "It's some kind of spice from a Melegueta tree."
"A mele what?" Petra asked confused.
"Oh shoot, I forgot about that and I don't know where we can get some." Alex said in frustration.
"Wait you said a Melegueta tree right?" Lukas asked.
"Yeah, why?" Nova asked, confused.
Lukas then ran to the sleeping chambers and grabbed something from his bag.
It was his walkie talkie.
He went back over to the group and turned it on.
"What are you d-" Jessica started but was shushed by Lukas.
"Radar, can you hear me? Over." Lukas said into the walkie talkie. He said it a few times and was about to give up when he heard a static.
Lukas is that you? Over.
"Radar! Hey how's it going?" Lukas leaning against the wall with a smile.
Hey! We just heard about everything that's happening from Ivor. Is everything okay?
"Yes and no.. So did Ivor tell you about Jessica's powers?" Lukas asked.
Yes, I'm so interested on how this even happened! I was caught up in a book reading about it.
