"don't sweat it baby, you'll do fine. plus, your slides are nice." he comforted.

"okay," beomgyu sighed. "hello, my name is choi beomgyu and my presentation will be all about my partner, choi yeonjun." he started, speaking loud enough for everybody in class to hear him.

"..and that ends my side of the project. thank you." he wrapped it up, his shoulders finally slumping as he finished. everybody clapped for him, yeonjun including.

"good job baby," the latter whispered into his ear as he clapped. he looked up to yeonjun and grinned, whispering a 'thanks' back.

"your turn, yeonjun," the teacher said, seeming impressed with how quick they've gotten along with each other.

the said boy nodded, starting off his presentation with his introduction. "hello, i am choi yeonjun and my presentation is about my partner, choi beomgyu," he introduced himself as he opened his introduction slide, revealing a slide that made it obvious they were dating.

beomgyu stared at the slides in awe and shock. did yeonjun change the slides secretly? the last time they worked on this together, his slides were plain. nothing was hinting to the fact they were dating, so what's this affectionate looking slide? there was even a slide explaining how they met... that's soo not romantic.

the class broke out into 'ooo's' and stunned expressions. they were NOT expecting this. even the title was hinting towards something. one being teasing, and the other being a pet name. of course, the teasing was ruled out. there's a literal heart next to his face.

unknowingly, he grinned as yeonjun started his presentation. all the slides were decorated and revolved around him and only him. well, maybe cause its supposed to.. but whatever! its romantic thinking that yeonjun made a presentation just about him.

"are there any questions?" yeonjun asked as his ending statement for his presentation. of course, there were quite a bit of hands raised. they asked, yeonjun served.

"are you guys dating?"

"are you two in a situationship?"

"what's poppin' between y'all?!"

these were basically all the questions they had about yeonjun and beomgyu. and yeonjun agreed to all of them!!

the class screamed, ecstatic about something interesting finally happening in their class. nobody would expect two former rivals to start dating each other.

except for enemy to lovers type of people, but this isn't really an enemies to lovers, there's no violence. sorry.

a few days later, they were at beomgyu's house having a sleepover together.

"baby, i didn't know you changed your slides?" beomgyu brought up, his head on yeonjun's lap as the latter played with his hair.

"i wanted my slides to look the best, just for you." yeonjun smiled. the younger grinned back.

"hyung?"

"yes?"

"i love you."

"i love you too." yeonjun pecked the younger's forehead.

...

pause. what's the date??

yeonjun reached over behind beomgyu to grab his phone.

12:00am march 13th

DUDE

"oh shit, happy birthday baby. finally 18," yeonjun grinned, grabbing beomgyu's face and kissing him without warning. beomgyu caressed the older's wrist, smiling into the kiss.

"what do you mean finally 18?" he raised an eyebrow as soon as yeonjun pulled away. yeonjun blinked at him.

"i ain't say that."

beomgyu grinned at his boyfriend's silliness and pecked him.

"let's go to sleep. we can celebrate your birthday tomorrow, yeah?" yeonjun stroked the younger's hair. beomgyu nodded and rolled over, giving yeonjun space to lie down.

"lay down. i wanna spoon."

yeonjun just smiled and complied, hugging beomgyu to sleep.

beomgyu woke up, yeonjun clearly not hugging him from the back. where'd he go?

he sat up, a clear frown plattered across his face. he looked around for any sign of a note, even checking his phone. there was nothing that signaled a goodbye oe anything.

did he leave without saying bye to beomgyu?

he stood up to go downstairs and eat breakfast.

..

dang brah. even his house was dark. where'd his mom go? what's the occasion today? why'd everybody leave him?

since his mom wasn't home, that meant he had free will. so he slid down the railing!! yolo

suddenly, the lights turned on as soon as he made it to the bottom.

"happy birthday to you!!" a bunch of voices combined started singing together. beomgyu's eyes widened, obviously stunned from the sudden singing. he looked up to see his friends and mom. ouu he didn't think they cared this much.

he watched in shock as all his loved ones sang to him. slowly, he grinned.

"make a wish!!" his mom called. he nodded and closed his eyes.

let's stay happy like this forever.

he blew out his candles and opened his eyes.

"thank you guys, this is the best birthday ever." beomgyu beamed, his smile going from ear to ear as he looked at everyone.

maybe being in love with your enemy wasn't that bad at all.
