After 3 days of being in the same position, unable to sleep because of the unbearable pain yet desperately needing rest his mind was in complete shambles.
This was the day which seemed to drive the 5 year old kid of the rails, completely traumatized with no hope of recovery.

He couldn't remember the last time he had eaten, played with one of the other captives or seen the clean white marble floor of the lecture hall glistening with a bright radiance as sunlight bounced of, off it. It was now stained with the dark embrace of blood, it's stench becoming more prominent as time went by. Scratch that Kreed couldn't remember the last time he saw the sun, coating him in it's beautiful rays and warming him in the most comforting way. To this child everything that he seemed to know before, was completely erased from his mind without a single regard. Now all he knew was the unnerving sound of Sketch-Flies swarm around him and nesting it the bodies of the countless children which were once his friends. The same children who kreed hoped he'd be joining soon. He couldn't tell how the Flies managed to survive in the poison of the nightmarish creature, but their annoying sound as well as the disgusting stench of blood was all Kreed could rely on to occupy his mind from the ghoulish torment of the poison devouring his body.

He had long gone crazy, yet on the 4 day Kreed notice something. Of course Kreed wasn't sure how many days he had been lying on the ground for but based on how pungent the smell of drying blood was as well as how hungry his body became he guessed that it was around the fourth day.

Looking through the large crack, he noticed the gigantic creature suddenly stumbled and collapsed as a bright beam of light struck it directly through the head severing one of the creature horns clean off.

As the disgusting beast fell to the ground it hit several buildings that were made as housing quarters for the senior children. It's black scaly carapace easily crushing the concrete building to dust under it's weight. As the creature touch the floor loud devastating tremors shook the island, collapsing countless more buildings.

And then it became quiet, too quiet. Drawn to the sudden death of the creature, which had stood in one spot for the entire time it was summoned. Countless thoughts flooded Kreed's mind. And despite the fragile state his mind was in he welcomed theses thoughts.
Anything to take his mind of the neverending pain which he felt.

Is it dead? What was capable of killing such a disgusting creature? Wait then would they kill me aswell? I hope so. What was that beam of light? Did one of the major clans deal with the abomination? Wait what was that thing anyway? It looked like a dragon yet felt like a walking corpse. What happened to my father? Was he on the island? Did any one else survive?
Why won't I die?... Why won't I die?
Why won't I die?
Why won't I die?
Why won't I die?
Why won't I die?
Why won't I dieeeeee?

Kreed knew a couple of the answers, yet the final question was a complete mystery.

****

Kreed had forgotten many things about himself, all the memories he had of childhood, his emotions and conscience being littered and ubstructured by foreign thoughts.

The unsightly boy who sat trembling in the dark expanse of the cathedral hall was, unsure of what it even meant to be human. After that dreadful experience 11 years ago, Kreed had given up on all his desire, dreams and aspirations.

Yet he survived.

The dreadful curse and repulsive poison still covered the island, obstructing any light that hoped to reach its land. It's thick cloudy embrace like a cacophony of dark unnerving shadows.

Kreed had long grown immune to the effects of the goulish creature's curse.

How so he did not know. Yet he lived on as if fated to live a life of torment and agony without relief of any kind.
