Chapter Twenty... Love Is... Anything You Make It (The Final Chapter)
It's amazing how much one individual person can affect your life.
For me? I had three main people who made my days just that. Amazing.
First and foremost was my beautiful daughter Larissa Masterson. The spitting image of her father, Lucas Masterson, Larissa made my days brighter than they had ever been. She was the one person that would always make me smile, no matter what. Just what she represented, my love for Lucas, was big enough. But I could never love anyone or anything more than my beautiful little girl... Oh, how I loved watching her grow!
The second was Ryan Christianson, the second man that had become the love of my life. He had helped me through my pregnancy, my depression, and I had fallen deeply in love with him in a short space of time. We spent as much time as we could together, and he was a father figure for Larissa. They loved each other like a real father/daughter relationship, and that kept me smiling.
The third person was Ryan's young daughter Anastasia Christianson. Nicknamed 'Ana' by, well, everyone, Anastasia was like another daughter to me. Her smile... her laugh... and the fact that from the moment Larissa was born, she considered Larissa her little sister, no matter what. She was keen to help with Larissa in any way possible, and she called me her 'new mommy'.
Other people who made my life brilliant were my mother, Wendy Greene, my father (though I didn't see much of him) Nicholas Greene, my brother, Chris Greene, my identical twin sister Chelsea Greene, Chelsea's son Nathaniel Greene, Chris' wife Melanie Greene, and their twin boys, Kyle and Keiran Greene.
My family.
"Hey, do you think that Larissa will like the jumping castle for her birthday?" Ryan asked, distracting my thoughts.
"Huh?" I said, looking blankly at him.
"Jumping castle? Larissa's birthday?" he smiled.
"Oh," I breathed. "Uh... I don't know, she's only one, remember."
"True," he sighed.
My little princess was growing up. So quickly.
Ryan and I had chosen to have an elaborate party for Larissa's first birthday. But I felt out of energy lately, and the last thing I wanted to do was host a party. But I had agreed to it, so I had to follow through with my plans.
"Yeah, the other kids will love the castle," I finalised.
"Are you alright?" he asked, looking worried.
"Yeah just... ever since Larissa started teething, I feel like... exhausted," I groaned. "She's keeping me up half the night... oh, it's fine. I'll be alright, once she gets the next few teeth that are starting to come through."
"Alright," he smiled, kissing my nose.
It didn't take long and we went home to set up for Larissa's party. Anastasia had claimed she was babysitting, but really it was Chris and Melanie. When we arrived home, they both greeted us with a hug. Larissa was walking around, the newest thing she had learnt how to do. Clever little chicken...
