INT. HAZEL AND MAYAS APARTMENT- MAYAS ROOM - DAY
ANGLE ON: Maya's pink iPhone 15 lying on its face as her HAND stops the alarm.
Now we're on Maya laying in bed not ready to get up yet.
MAYA-(V.O) Okay so first of all hey y'all! I missed you guys.
INT.BATHROOM - A LITTLE LATER
Maya is now out of bed and brushing her teeth.
MAYA-(V.O) Second here's Mayas guide to things to do after a break up....or not so break up. Whatever let's just say after a heart break.
Maya finishes brushing her teeth.
MAYA-(V.O) step one...listen to your favorite music.
INT. MAYAS ROOM - FLASH BACK
Maya stands in front of her mirror with a brush in her hand she's singing "The I gave my heart to" by Aaliyah.
Very LOUD and OFF KEY.
Hazel bursts in.
HAZEL- Bitch seriously?
Maya pauses and looks at her.
MAYA- you want the next verse?
Hazel rolls her eyes and closes the door.
INT. HAZEL AND MAYAS APARTMENT - KITCHEN- FLASHBACK TWO
Maya stands in front of the oven wearing apron and the kitchen is filled with a ridiculously amount of baked desserts. Cupcakes, brownies, cookies, cakes, muffins. You name it.
MAYA-(V.O) Baking or Cooking has always been a little therapeutic for me...this time maybe a little too much.
Hazel walks in and looks at Maya and then looks around at the kitchen.
HAZEL- I'm not even gonna ask.
Ryan bursts in as if he could smell the sweets from his apartment.
He smiles at the desserts.
RYAN- can I have two of everything?
MAYA- it better be because you can eat two?!
Ryan swallows.
RYAN- of course definitely not for he who should not be named .
Maya shoots him a look.
INT.BAR/LOUNGE - CURRENT TIME
Maya sits at the bar a drink in her hand vibing to the music.
MAYA-(V.O) step three. Get up put on an outfit that you know you look good in I mean just drop dead fine. And go out could be with friends or by yourself and then find you someone that-
A GUY walks across the dance floor and approaches Maya.
GUY- can I buy you another drink?
Maya checks him out and then smiles into the camera.
MAYA- on to step four.
INT. APARTMENT COMPLEX HALL WAY - FRONT OF MAYA AND HAZEL'S APARTMENT -NIGHT
Maya is in the middle of a steamy hookup with an unknown guy. Both are drunk and kissing and grabbing each other all over.
MAYA-(V.O) cute isn't he?
Maya still kissing unlocks the door.
INT. MAYA AND HAZEL'S APARTMENT- CONTINUES
