A mother first

I held Caleb on my hip as I move around the kitchen "hey can we have family dinner once a week one where we invite dad and Kelly and Adam everyone" "that's a great idea" Jay said nodding "but with cases and doesn't Kelly do like opposites like Wednesday this week but not the next" "hey it doesn't have to be set in stone it could be on a Tuesday one week and a Friday the next also you guys at intelligence have to eat even when you have big cases" I muse "ohh and you should invite Kev and hailey" I look at Jay confused as he is now choking on his coffee. "Hailey use to be dads sex buddy" MillieFlorence mused "how is that not awkward also how does mum not think you guys sneak off all the time considering your partners" Alvin adds "your mother trust me are you sure about inviting them" Jay said rolling his eyes at our preteens "well considering they are the only people in intelligence who will be here I mean we can't have Adam without Kim and Makayla and we have to have Adam because of Caleb we have to invite dad that basically just leaves Kev and hailey and we know I love Kev and I can learn to love hailey I'm not going to be rude just because you had sex with her...Kelly will be here because of him and he will bring Stella" I said pointing to Alvin for last bit. Alvin just smirks. "Do we own a table that big" "yeah we got this also we can just shove the children in here if need be" "as long as I'm not shoved into the breakfast bar Niyah hates letting me past" Alvin chimes in. We have a curved breakfast nook, where we eat most mornings. That's as well as the island counter, and a dinning room.

We can all fit on the bench even if Jay complains every time that his falling off and children are sitting on him. There are three chairs, we do have more in the closet if need be. The house was massive probably the biggest out of all the houses, I hadn't been to everyone's. I knew Kelly lived in an apartment, Adam had his father's house, my dad lived in my childhood home. We had enough room in this house to have more children if that's what we wanted. We had three spare bedrooms, now two with Luis moving in. We also have a full basement and an office each. Each child had their own room, we let them decide where they want to sleep. Millieflorence was the only one who constantly had her own room Alvin and Justin shared for a while, same as Lexi and Justin. Aniyah has her own room but sleeps with me and Jay. Caleb also has a room beside our where he naps but he sleeps in mine and jays of a night. My point for stating this is to highlight we have room. We have the room to have everyone over comfortably for a dinner and if they want to stay they can. "You talk to Kelly and we'll figure it out" Jay said kissing my head before taking Caleb from my arms. I pause it was the first time he had taken Caleb or shown him anything. "Moon Vinny I don't want anymore of the jokes or" "mum they are hilarious" Alvin groans "no there not" Jay said rocking Caleb "I don't want to explain what divorce means to Niyah again" I said looking at Alvin "we aren't getting one so stop no more jokes about what me or your dad have done because they aren't funny" "dad said that" MillieFlorence said making me roll my eyes "no more if we hear them still or hear anyone bring up divorce there will be punishments now go get your stuff for school grandpa is going to be here soon" they all slowly leave the room "uh what are we going to do if they don't listen because we haven't actually punished them seriously before" Jay said once we were alone "I know we have awesome children we'll figure it out though" I muse kissing him.
