MAYA- I want to be with him.
INT. RYAN AND STERLINGS APARTMENT- KITCHEN - SAME TIME
RYAN- So whats next for you two? Should I start dusting off a tuxedo?
Sterling laughs.
STERLING- first of all you don't own a tuxedo and second....I want to be with her.
Ryan stands up and claps.
RYAN- ladies and gentlemen ding ding ding! We're finally here.
Sterling laughs.
STERLING- shut up man.
RYAN- this is amazing I mean come on this is you and MJ. The way it was always supposed to be.
Sterling smiles a little.
STERLING- the way it was always supposed to be.
RYAN- and it's even crazier I'm DJing at the hotel you guys almost hooked up at again today...look at how it was meant to be.
Sterling laughs.
STERLING- I guess.
INT. HALLWAY - MOMENTS LATER
Sterling and Maya arrive in the hall at the same time. They look at each other and smile. They've been in this same spot plenty of times but this time it feels different.
MAYA- Hey you.
STERLING- Hey.
MAYA AND STERLING-About last night.
They both laugh.
STERLING- you first.
Maya smiles.
MAYA- I just wanted to say I don't regret the kiss and I'm not sure how you feel because we didn't really get to talk about it-
STERLING- Maya.
Sterling grabs her hand holding it.
STERLING- I don't regret it either.
Maya looks at him and smiles.
STERLING- I just had the dinner with my Dad so I had to go but...I could have stayed forever.
MAYA-(softly) I could have stayed forever too.
Sterling smiles and leans in to kiss her when Maya phone DINGS.
MAYA- that would be my Uber.
STERLING-Uber?
MAYA- I have a doctor's appointment I've been having this headache thing...wanted to get it checked out.
STERLING- Oh? Aww. I hope you feel better.
Maya smiles.
MAYA- thanks.
Maya begins to leave but stops and turns around.
