Niki heard a small grunt from Lisa but other than that, Lisa still hasn't moved a muscle. Niki looked around the kitchen. It was a huge kitchen and since she was there only twice and only to take Lisa’s forgotten packed food, she didn't really know how to start on making Lisa’s coffee in the first place. Looking at the various coffee machines displayed on the other counter made her regret her earlier offer to help.

“Her coffee and favourite mugs are at the top corner of the cabinet there. Use the light yellow Minnie mug for today. Put the coffee beans to the espresso machine on the far right and just press start. I already set it.” Jennie instructed as she saw Niki hesitated.

“Yeah…Jenduke here already set it on default in case we need to make it when she’s not here. Have a go at it.”

While she proceeds to try to make Lisa’s coffee, Jennie finishes plating all the pancakes before she sits on Lisa’s other side. Jisoo poured the mango juice onto 3 glasses before sitting in front of them. While waiting for the machine to do its job, Niki watched the four members surreptitiously from the counter.
She watched as Jennie started to rub Lisa’s back as if waking the girl while murmuring something into her right ear. She saw Lisa’s head turned toward the voice facing Jennie before opening her eyes and letting out a small smile. Rosie was saying something she hardly heard from the grumble of the coffee machine but it made Jisoo laugh out loud and Jennie chuckled. Lisa just leaned back frowning looking at the other three while pouting.

It seemed Jisoo and Rosie kept on teasing their maknae and it made Lisa more upset from the look on her face before Jennie telling them to stop then continued combing her fingers through Lisa’s hair, as if calming her down. And it seemed to work as Lisa pout now turned to a small smile before leaning her head onto Jennie’s shoulder.

“Here’s your coffee, Lisa.” Niki said as she took the empty seat beside Jisoo.

Lisa looked down at the cup and let out a small smile. “Thanks, Niki.”

Lisa suddenly cleared her throat as she sat up straight looking at her directly. “Niki..I want to apologise for asking you to drive all the way here last night. Nini said I shouldn't do that unless it's really important.”

Niki nodded absently. "It’s okay. No harm done.”

“Here…You should eat Nini’s pancake when it’s hot and before Rosie finishes it. It’s really good…” Lisa offered as she pushed her own plate towards Niki.

Jisoo then proceeded to offer her a glass of mango juice and another cup of coffee.

“Just so you know, that’s from my coffee machine. It’s better than Lisa’s.” Jisoo boasted.

Lisa just rolled her eyes. She took a sip of her coffee and grimaced. She tried to hide it but everyone on the table saw it.

“Uh oh..Is there something wrong with the coffee, Lisayah?” Rosie asked in a teasing tone.

Lisa shrugged her shoulders. But she stopped drinking it before putting it back on the table.

“It's not bad, but it’s not good…” Jisoo whispered.

“Huh?”

“That’s what Lisa gonna tell you if she told you the truth.”

Rosie nodded her head as she stuffed more pancakes into her mouth. “Yeah..cause it's not Jennie’s.”

“But I followed what Ms Kim told me to do.”

“We did too but she’ll tell you the same thing. She said it just tastes different."

"You guys do realise I'm sitting right in front of you and can hear everything that you say right?" Lisa piped up.

"You are meant to hear that, monkey. Just want to emphasise how high maintenance you are." Rosie added.
