3rd Point of View

Part 18

“I asked her to come.” Lisa interjected.

“Why?” Jennie now turned her attention to Lisa.

“I wanna go to Bam’s.”

“I told you..”

“But…..”

“Quiet!..And you! I told you she’s banned from going to Bam’s house! Why are you ignoring my instructions?”

Shit. “Erm, she told me it’s urgent and important. You told me that if that was the case, I could use my own judgement.”

“What the hell is so important now at nearly 3 in the morning that you need to wake your PA??”

Lisa pouted. “Bam said he bought the new Fortnite game. He’s playing it tonight and I wanna see it!”

When Jennie’s face darkened, Niki, internally face palmed herself. She’s going to get fired this time for sure.

Jennie shook her head and let out a long sigh.

“But I’m no longer grounded from 12am! It’s already been 3 months. So effective today I’m free. But you told me I still cannot drive and Mr Yang didn’t want to help so I asked her! She’s my assistant, right? So isn’t she supposed to assist me?”

“Lisayah, look at her. She’s barely awake and she’s driving here just to bring you to Bam’s house so that you can see his new game. Does it make sense? Now get back inside before you catch a cold. You can go to Bam’s later when it’s more reasonable hours.”

“But…” Lisa tried to protest.

“Get inside! Don’t test me! I’ve just finished going through a rough meeting for 5 hours and I am not in the mood to deal with this now.” Jennie barked.

Lisa stood up with a slumped shoulder, her pouting lips deepened before she walked into the house. Niki shivered as she felt the cold wind against her body.

“Erm…Ms Kim..I’m gonna go. I’ll see you in the office tomorrow.”

“Come on, let’s get inside. I know you’re just as tired as me right now. Take the day off tomorrow and you can just drive yourself home in the morning.”

Niki, too tired to argue, just followed behind Jennie. The older girl showed her the spare room beside the kitchen area and Niki went to sleep as soon as fell onto the bed. She only wakes up when she smells the pancake coming through her room. As she saw the time, she quickly got up and finished her morning routine hoping that Jennie would not be mad to see her still at their home. Her attempt to get out of the mansion stealthily was unsuccesful. Just because for her to get out of the house she needs to pass all 4 members who are currently occupying the kitchen.

She saw Jennie, fresh face wearing casual clothes, was busily cooking pancakes on the stove while Jisoo was rummaging through the fridge looking for something beside her.

“Hi, Niki! Unnie said you slept here last night.” Rosie greeted as soon as she saw her.

Niki smiled and nodded her head. “Yeah. Thanks for letting me stay here. I’ll make my way home now.”

“Oh? Why don’t you have breakfast first before you go?” Jisoo offered.

Niki looked at the lone figure beside Rosie who seemed to be still sleeping judging from the slumped form on the table. “Erm..”

“Stay for breakfast.” Jennie ordered.

“Erm…yeah..Okay. At least let me help.”

“You can try making Lisa’s coffee. I don’t think she can function without it today.”  Rosie piped up as she nudged the girl beside her.
