The entity's optics were missing, void of color. Just two, empty pits staring right back at her. Its body was frozen in time, as if having been shut off amidst all that chaos. Who'd made such a valiant effort of turning that thing off, she wouldn't know. She didn't notice anybody entering the space.
The beast's stillness allowed Chica a chance to finally escape. Without any hesitation or a stop to examine it any further, she pried out of its grip, staggering backwards as she tripped over her own feet, and crashing into the wall just beside the door. Her eyes, they were solely glued on that putrid face, as if the intense staring would keep it in its place were it to be set off by something and attack. She didn't notice how, amidst all that, her systems were wheezing and whining out of the sheer, over-surging fright.
When more time passed, and still no movement emerged from the monstrosity, the chicken expelled a shaky exhale, and without another wasted second had rushed out of that room, forcefully bumping into the doorframe as she did so, which intensified the torment in her arm.
Throughout the time she took to run past the corridors of the pizzeria, the lines of reality and the chaos of her mind were blurred. She pushed past all and everything, stumbling over stray plush toys, hitting into close-by walls, tables, you name it. It all passed by her head like a huge, useless fragment of information, and Chi didn't seem to care. There were more things horrifying than a break in memory.
At last, the door to the Parts & Service was reached — the sanctuary she needed so desperately. Pausing for nothing, Chica slammed into the heavy metal door. However, since the door opened the other way, it wouldn't budge.
Seeking immediate solace, when she had to halt at the pang of pain rippling through her arm thanks to the slam, a frantic urgency fueled her form, and she'd quickly felt around the door to try and plunge her arm in some gap.
Some frenetic attempts later, Chica was finally able to open the door, shoving herself through it when success was achieved. She slammed it shut behind herself, standing in front of it to block any potential entry of that beast. As long as she stood there, her gaze was staring through the opposite wall, noting nothing of a certain rabbit that sat against it.
Faint, raggedy gasps lingered in the room, betraying her petrified state of mind. Every inch of her being shivered, as if her surroundings were situated in the middle of a blizzard.
When her systems were assured that it wouldn't follow, Chi's guard finally let itself down a little. Just, a minute amount, of course. She was still terrified — still on the verge of breaking down. She ultimately retreated to her side of the space, her steps slow and heavy. That's where she let it out, dropping all every and every means of defense and collapsing against the wall. Her wrist pressed against her head, while she began to sob like a stranded child.
Leaning into her knees, she hid her face in her arm that rested over them, keeping some ounce of vulnerability under the surface. The more she cried, the more the tight binds of terror held her hostage, stripping away the nuances of her character and leaving an unrecognizable, lonely presence in its place.
Sad part was, Bonnie was sitting right there, watching her deteriorating mental state, but he did little to nothing to provide her any semblance of comfort.
It was well over a while that her condition seemed to finally garner some focus. She wouldn't know it, however. Her thoughts were stirred into a realm of sole torture, making her oblivious to everything else. The sound of the door slamming shut was all that reached her numb sensors, eliciting a subtle flinch, but nothing that'd push her to brink of snapping up.
Only when a nefariously similar amount of weight — evoking the sense that it was that creature again — landed on her shoulder, did her receptors alert once more. Her body tensed, and, as if jolted by an abrupt surge of electricity, she jumped, eyes veering to the source, almost expecting the same face to be staring back at her.
