19. So, you mean to tell me that you spent the night there?'

Start from the beginning

Luckily, Pablo wasn't in the room when I arrived, I got into the closet and changed into a pair of black shorts that hugged my lower region perfectly and a plain white shirt

I twisted my curls up into a messy bun and applied a little bit of lip balm. As I sprayed on my favorite perfume, I couldn't help but feel overwhelmingly happy.

For the first time in years, I felt genuine happiness from the bottom of my heart. It wasn't the superficial happiness that came from material possessions, random hookups at the club or the release from my rose toy. It was the kind of happiness I used to feel before my mother passed away.

But as I thought about my mom, a wave of sadness washed over me. However, I quickly pushed it away and took a deep breath. At the end of the day, happiness finds you when it wants to, regardless of religious beliefs and societal expectations. I finally found my peace and happiness, even if it meant going against the so-called laws of the 'Bible and its owner, the sky daddy.'

My thoughts were interrupted by the memories of last night and this morning. The way he made me feel, his hands on my body, his lips on mine, his dick thrusting at different paces, his flicking tongue in my pussy... I felt a rush of desire and longing course through my body, and I couldn't help but let out a small moan.

I walked out of my room with a bright smile, making my way to the kitchen for some breakfast.

Everyone was seated already, including Alvaro. My heart skipped a beat as my eyes met his. A sly smirk was tugged at the corner of his lips, making me feel hot inside. My cheeks flushed as I quickly looked away, trying to ignore the heat between us.

But my eyes soon found Amanda's. Her gaze was emotionless, which was strange as she always had a calm and inviting look in her eyes. Her stare made me feel uncomfortable so I broke out of it and in that moment, Pablo walked in.

He looked pissed and as his eyes landed on me, it seemed like his anger heightened.

"Where the fuck have you been Isadora?" he groaned angrily. The monstrous look on his face frightened me, and I gulped hard, unable to find any words to explain my absence.

"I..I...

"Why are you questioning her, father? I told you she went to visit her mother's grave," Alvaro interjected, his brow raised up as he scrutinized Pablo with his gaze. I felt a sense of relief wash over me as Alvaro's words protected me from Pablo's rage.

Pablo shut his eyes, took in a deep breath and feigned a smile. "Why did she tell you and not me?" he asked, trying to keep his anger in check.

"I...I was in a hurry, and you weren't available at that moment. I needed to be there before the cemetery closed," I explained in a low tone, trying to sound as convincing as I could.

"So, you mean to tell me that you spent the night there?" he questioned. I could hear the anger in his voice, but he did his best to conceal it, pretending to be upset that I didn't tell him.

"Yes," I replied quietly, the awkwardness and tension in the room palpable. Alvaro broke the silence, his voice calm yet firm.

"Why are you asking all these questions, Pablo? She's a grown woman, fit to do whatever she wants, and definitely, she doesn't need any permission from you," Alvaro shot back with a glare.

"She's my wife," Pablo gritted out, his possessiveness clear in his tone.

"Not your slave or pauper," Alvaro retorted, standing up to Pablo's words.

Feeling overwhelmed by the tension between the two men, I excused myself and headed to the kitchen, needing to escape the awkwardness of the situation. As I breathed out in relief, my heart doing a weird dance, I couldn't help but feel grateful that Alvaro had saved me.
