Chapter 20 ~ Fire World

The next morning, Jessica got up to see almost everyone still in bed except Jesse. She got dressed in the bathroom and made her way to the kitchen to see Jesse eating a potato.

"Potato's for breakfast?" She asked walking over to the fridge.

"Not much to eat, I couldn't find a coffee pot." Jesse added taking a bite from his potato.

Jessica froze.

"You don't have one with you?" Jessica remembered.

"Oh wait, I didn't even check." He started looking through his inventory, "It's too early to for this."

He then pulled out his coffee maker and Jessica put a hand over her heart. Jesse then started to make coffee as Jessica got the two of them cups and poured some into it.

"Now that," Jessica smacked her tongue, "Is what I call a good morning"

Jesse chuckled as he took a sip. He heard footsteps at the doorway and turned his head to reveal Nova.

"Hey, want some coffee?" Jesse offered.

"No that's ok, my mother said it's not good for me to have coffee this young." Nova argued.

"But your mom isn't here~!" Jessica encouraged, just then Lukas walked in the kitchen.

"Fine, just a little bit though." Nova finally agreed.

"That's what I like to hear, want a cup Lukas?" Jessica said opening the cabinet again.

"Yes please, thank you." Lukas smiled, sitting next to Jesse.

Jessica poured their coffee's and handed it to Nova with a wink. Just then Petra and Alex came walking through the door.

"Alright, I hope you're all rested and ready to help out Jessica today." Alex said walking over to the cabinet to grab an apple.

"What do you need all of us to do?" Petra asked leaning against the counter.

"I was hoping someone could help Nova brew the flight potion? It takes a long time to make a dozen." Alex asked.

"I can help, I know a thing or two." Jesse said lifting his cup up.

"Then I need someone to make sure Jessica stays fueled up on food throughout the day, whoever does this can also help me." Alex asks.

"I can." Lukas volunteered.

"Awesome! Jessica, Petra, and I will be in the arena. If you're ever not cooking, just come on over." Alex smiled.

Lukas gave her a thumbs up as he continued to drink his own cup of coffee.

"Alright, let's get moving! Nova and Jesse, all the instructions should be somewhere in the library. Oh! Jessica, put on these clothes too." Alex said with a smile, bitting into her apple.

Alex laid out a black tank top and gray sweatpants for Jessica to wear.

"You're fucking with me right?" Jessica asked with crossed arms looking at the hex-bar with 400 pounds on each side.

"Go on, try and lift it." Alex encouraged.
