MANASHWI'S POV:

Today I was enraged and outraged over a fucking bastard. This scumbag even had the audacity to offer our competitor company our most recent, undisclosed collection in exchange for cash. That person betrayed our trust and threatened the prosperity of our organization, and I was astounded by their audacity. This awful act has now soiled the endless hours of effort and devotion that went into crafting our most recent collection. This man needed to be put to death, and I wanted to make him beg for it. My mind was racing with ideas of payback as I stormed into the office. How could someone be willing to discard what we worked so hard for, showing such bitterness and greed? My own rage sprang up like wildfire, burning my determination to make this man pay for his treachery.

I was yelling at one of my agents over the phone to bring that fucking traitor before me while he was still alive so I could exact revenge for his wicked deed. The only limitation to taking a life is that the target is no longer able to suffer, and I want him to suffer until he loses the ability to breathe. My mind raced with thoughts of the countless ways I could make him suffer. I imagined a slow and painful demise, where every moment would be filled with excruciating pain and despair. The thought of his screams echoing through the walls of my office brought a sinister smile to my face. However, deep down, I knew that revenge alone would not bring me the satisfaction I sought.

"BRING HIM IN FRONT OF ME, ANYHOW." I sensed someone staring at me, so I hung up the phone. I turned around to see Anirudh standing there. This guy is giving me every reason to fire him.

CALM DOWN MANASHWI CALM DOWN

As I was giving him a fierce glare, he moved forward and extended a folder. "I apologize for interrupting, but I thought you might want to see this," he replied quietly. I reached for the folder, wondering what could possibly be so important that it defended his interruption, and curiosity overcame my irritation.

"Didn't anyone ever tell you that overhearing your boss's conversation might be dangerous for your job?" I sarcastically stated as I took the paperwork from his grasp and began reading it. It was the agenda and details regarding the next investor meeting. I quickly realized that his interruption was justified, as the investor meeting was just a few days away.

There are times when his constantly smirking face gives me chills. How does he manage to look so good in the simplest clothes?

"I apologize, miss. Mafia But could you please inform me who would lose his life?" He spoke in a curious as well as teasing tone. "And why do you think that I should tell you about this matter?" I looked from the folder to him and raised an eyebrow in response to this.

UGGGHHHHHHHHHH! This smug expression.

His smirking face irritated me to no end, but I knew I had to maintain my composure. I paused to catch my breath before continuing, "You'll have to give me a good reason to trust you with such confidential data if you want any information from me."

I crossed my arms, waiting for his response. His eyes narrowed, and he leaned in closer, his voice dropping to a whisper.

"Because if you don't, you'll never find out who's really behind it all."

I almost choked on my own breath hearing this. I have no idea why, but I chose not to tell him even though I suspected him of being the one behind this. Instead, I maintained a poker face and replied, "Interesting. Well, if you want my cooperation, you'll have to provide more than just cryptic warnings. Give me concrete evidence or a convincing argument." I could sense the tension in the air as we locked eyes, both aware that our trust was hanging by a thread.

"LEAVE IT." He left my office, saying these words as if he was annoyed. And I returned to my work.

ANIRUDH'S POV:

This girl sure is something; it's the first time someone has ever said no to me. But what was she talking about? Does she, too, have a criminal record? What was she up to? I couldn't help but wonder what secrets she was hiding and what her true intentions were. It was clear that there was more to this situation than met the eye.

I called my assistant and told him to inspect her.

SOME HOURS LATER...

"Finally, you are here." It was the first time I actually saw her so excited and smiling. She has a radiant smile that lights up her face. In her smile, I saw something more beautiful than stars. It was as if her smile held a hidden story, one that I was determined to uncover.

I came out of my thoughts when I saw her hugging a boy so comfortably. I was jealous for no reason and couldn't help but wonder who he was to her. Was he just a friend or something more? My curiosity grew, and I couldn't shake the feeling that there was a deeper connection between them.

"I AM SO GLAD TO SEE YOU HERE," she said as she broke her hug.

The way she said those words, with such genuine enthusiasm, made me question if there was more to their relationship than I initially thought. It was clear that they shared a special bond, and I couldn't help but feel a pang of jealousy as I wondered what role he played in her life.
