Dixon Sin

Dixon is sitting back in the chair, paging through the physical copy of the report that Imani left with his assistants. And the thing is immaculate. Just like he knew it would be. It's structured. It's neat. The data is clear and concise.

Nothing in the report itself really surprises him. It's just confirmation for what he already knew. He just didn't have the time to go looking for the proof himself. He knew Imani was the best person for the job. His girl is nothing if not a tenacious perfectionist.

He's been through it cover to cover already, but he can't help but go through it again. Can't help but admire the hard work and dedication that was clearly poured into it.

"Would you stop reading that thing and focus?" Lana is sitting next to him, annoyed at how calm Dixon is in the face of peril. He should be coming up with strategies to get out of this, not pouring over useless documents. "It's your fault that this is happening."

"My fault?" Finally, Dixon speaks, not once taking his eyes off the papers, "Who's usually the one who drops the first domino at these things?"

Daniel. They all know Daniel is the one who goes on a power trip and drops the first domino, then leaves them all to deal with the aftermath.

Now they've been stuck in one of the board rooms at the Hellenic Republic Embassy for an hour, waiting on the Greek president to arrive and state exactly how he had the balls to summon him all the way here.

He doesn't care about the why. He knows why.

"The only thing that matters is that we are on Greek soil right now, so we need to find a way to make it out of here in one piece," Lana is of course right to be concerned.

Although they're still in the country, the embassy is seen as part of Greece, and here, any Greek citizen, especially the officials have diplomatic immunity. They can do whatever they want.

"You would know all about foreign policy, wouldn't you?" Zayn goads, not really at Lana's citizenship but rather how many skeletons she's covered up for Daniel over the years.

"Try an expert," Lana spits back, "Which is why I suggest the two of you play nice and give this man no reason to kill us and dispose of us without a shred of evidence left behind."

Investigating embassies is a little complicated because host countries don't just waiver diplomatic immunity lightly. There needs to be concrete proof of a crime having taken place, which is hard to do when everyone in the building is citizens of the embassy's country. They are not likely to throw one of their own under the bus. It's extremely doubtful that Greece will care much about the disappearance of some Irish guys on South African soil.

Much to Lana's chagrin, Dixon doesn't even spare her glance. He's still relaxed back in the chair, reading the stack of documents before him.

"Dixon?" Lana calls.

Dixon sighs tiredly and looks up at her, "Why are you even here?" He asks instead.

"I beg your pardon?" Lana's eyebrows shoot up.

"It's a bit too convenient that you landed the same day we got summoned to this bullshit. Tell me now, while I'm still nice about it."
