The morning sun painted a soft glow across the room, casting a warm embrace over Greyson and me, tangled in each other's arms. As consciousness gradually reclaimed its hold, I maneuvered my way out of the bed, careful not to disturb the peaceful slumber of the man who had become my anchor.

I tiptoed through the room, glancing over my shoulder to ensure Greyson remained blissfully asleep. The remnants of our shared warmth lingered as I made my way to the bathroom, where I shed the remnants of the night and emerged anew. Opting for comfort, I chose a pair of well-worn jeans and a soft tank top in a soothing shade of lavender, a reflection of the quiet contentment that had settled within me.

The scent of coffee lingered in the air as I descended the stairs, entering the heart of Greyson's world. The chefs, knowing us well, had prepared a feast that greeted me at the table. Greyson's embrace from behind, his head nuzzling the crook of my neck, interrupted my thoughts.

"Where are you off to, love?" he murmured, his warm breath sending shivers down my spine.

"Work," I replied, a smile playing on my lips. The routine felt comforting, grounding us in the mundane amidst the chaos of our intertwined lives.

"Let me drop you off," he suggested, a gesture that spoke of his unwavering support.

We indulged in breakfast, his hand resting gently on my thigh as we exchanged quiet glances. The sleek lines of his impressive car awaited us outside – a testament to the life he led. He opened the door for me, a chivalrous act that never failed to make my heart flutter.

As we navigated the streets, the rhythm of his touch on my thigh harmonized with the hum of the engine. Greyson's presence was a shield against the world's uncertainties, a reassurance that echoed in the warmth of his gaze.

Greyson's POV

The coffee shop, a quaint haven named "Sweet Serenity," welcomed Selina back into the embrace of routine. As Selina and I entered a woman approach us with a kind look on her face who I assumed was the owner she looked like she was in her 50s , " Greyson this is Angela my boss, Angela this is Greyson my boyfriend" Selina said with a smile  Angela look up at me with a smile and said " Nice to meet you Greyson" ' nice to meet you too" I said while holding out my hand but she swatted my hand away and pulled me into a hug. I bid goodbye to Selina and kissed her on her forehead, I watched as she went into a room put her stuff down then she came back around the counter and put on a small apron, ready to immerse herself in the comforting aroma of freshly brewed coffee and sweet pastries.

Hours passed, and  I received her call, the excitement in her voice palpable " Hey grey my shift is finished so you can come now" " Sure I'll be there soon, do you want to spend a few more days over at my place?" i said as i waited for her response " sure how about you pick me up at my house i need to grab a few more things" I agreed and started the journey to her house.

When I pulled up to her house  I realized that her father car was outside which only meant one thing.  I open the door only to see a battered Selina on the floor trying to fight her father off, I rushed over and start punching her father, he got up and tried to swing a punch at me but failed miserably I kicked him in the stomach and as he fell to the ground, I continued to beat the shit out of him until he was knocked out.

 Selina's POV

As Greyson subdued the darkness that haunted my home, I felt his embrace replacing the echoes of pain. He kissed my forehead, whispering promises of a brighter future. In that moment, his warmth and strength were the shields I needed.

Back to Greyson's POV

I scooped Selina into my arms, cradling her fragile form, and rushed her to the hospital. The sterile walls masked the chaos within as doctors tended to her injuries. A flurry of phone calls set the wheels in motion – packing, moving, ensuring her safety.

In the sterile waiting room, I held my breath until the doctor emerged, confirming her physical injuries but assuring me of her resilience. As they allowed me into her room, I took her hand in mine, pressing a tender kiss against her skin.

"I promise, Selina," I whispered, my words a silent vow. "I won't let anyone hurt you again."
