"Hugo will not help with your dirty work " Sophia said interrupting the men
Gabriel looked at Sophia with a look of disgust over his face while Jason stared at her in a way that made her skin crawl
"Sophia back to you room now" Hugo said
annoyed by the display of disrespect
"You only do illegal buisness if they want an assassin they should look else where " Sophia said standing her ground
"Your name rings a bell" Jason said
"Ah yes I know who you are " Gabriel said frowning in recognition
"Everyone knows me and knows not to cross me " Sophia said proudly
"You must be the dumb dora that was locked up and thrown out " Gabriel said an evil grin on his face
"You both look like dead men walking to me " Sophia said grinning
Jason got up in anger and slapped Sophia across her face . Sophia was too stunned to speak or do anything she stood cradling her face and Hugo balled his hand in anger trying to control his rage
"You need to be disciplined" Jason said eyeing Sophia
"You can't treat my guest like that I would have to ask you to leave " Hugo said making it clear there was nothing to be discussed anymore
"Don't let your emotions get in the way of our good relationship " Gabriel said getting up from his chair
"I just hope you don't regret your action" Jason said following after Gabriel
"I don't want to do Buisness with you personally anymore if you need anything speak to my father he is alive and kicking after all" Hugo said dismissing them
The two men left with a frown on their face . Hugo turned sharply to Sophia
"You should have stayed in your room you could have been killed if they had weapons " Hugo said
"They would have made you kill an innocent man" Sophia said
"How can you tell the man is innocent ? I wish you were more like Cami " Hugo said pacing angrily
"But I am me and I guess that is why you hate me " Sophia said
The silence between them was so awkward Sophia decided it was best to leave Hugo alone . Hugo hated when Sophia did this type of thing and make it all about hating her when she clearly deserved the criticism
"Fuck" Hugo said pushing the plates off the kitchen counter in anger
Sophia had a way of making him angry that he ends up doing stupid things . Sophia clearly had no respect for him in his own house she had Blatantly ignored his instructions and had embarrassed him in the presence of the big earners .
Your subordinates not taking to instruction is a crime punishable by death in the mafia word and he had let Sophia walk away with her head as a future Boss he would be looked down on especially since he couldn't handle a single Bearcat(fiery woman).
Hugo knew he needed to fix the way he treats her to avoid further embarrassment.Hugo needed a drink or two to get his mind off the issue but he couldn't he could still remember how he hated himself that one time he got too drunk it was still fresh in his memory the cold gun pressed against his neck
