Saving Sophia

Cami was pissed that Sophia kept engaging her even tho Sophia could tell she was busy . Cami hated Sophia had denied the love Cami had for  Hugo and had made it feel like it was an illusion Cami had created because of the fear of dying alone

"Do you know what love is " Cami said to Sophia before starring the tea

"Yes, I love Hugo" Sophia said a smile on her face

"Love is consideration and someone like you is to selfish to ever consider someone else but yourself " Cami said before walking away

Cami held the cup of tea in her hand even tho they felt too heavy she was happy to give or make anything that would make Hugo happy so how could Sophia say it isn't love .

"You took your time" Hugo said as if asking if there was a cause for the delay

"I am getting old " Cami joked as she passed him the tea she made

"Yum" Hugo said smiling his  smile reaching his eyes

Cami was satisfied with the pretense of a happy strong couple in this moment she could pretend she wasn't going to die soon .

"Hold me" Cami requested and Hugo complied without asking questions .

Sophia was angry that Cami had questioned her love for Hugo how dare she . Cami had not lived with Hugo has long as Sophia was so Cami had no right to question her or even love Hugo . Sophia aggressively made tea spilling tea on the kitchen counter

Sophia did not hate Cami in fact they had even gotten to know each other better that Sophia was able to tell Cami didn't like her but still acts civil . Sophia burnt her lip drinking the hot tea she hissed in pain and dropped the mug

The mug fell in the floor and crashed causing Hugo to run down stairs

"Are you okay ? " Hugo said examining Sophia

"Yes" Sophia said pulling away from him

"Go to bed I will clear this up" Hugo said to Sophia

Hugo eyes followed Sophia all the way to the stairs before he became satisfied and started cleaning the kitchen. Hugo was scared at the thought of Sophia getting injured the anger he felt from her cruel words disappeared. Hugo chuckled at himself at how easy it was for him to forget his anger at the thought of Sophia getting hurt

It had always been like this Hugo clearing up after Sophia that was why she kept acting the way she does . Hugo had always had a soft spot for Sophia even when he was engaged to Valentina he had always put Sophia first it was no surprise Valentina had canceled the engagement and had picked Carlos instead . Hugo was overprotective of Sophia even if he knew she was a snake capable of biting those who try to harm her

Hugo hated the fact that his overprotectiveness had only made Sophia worse. Even if it was obvious that Sophia was cruel Hugo had always found a way to imagine a little light from all her darkness and it was weird to him that he was the only one who saw it . Matthias had once teased Hugo saying when was Hugo going to confess his love for Sophia .
