Time passed by too fast. Weeks after the confrontation between me and Diane, Arthur became vigilant. He always check me and our son. Betty and Roger told me that Arthur has been calling them almost every hour just to ask how our son is. Even his parents are worried not just about Ethan's safety but also mine. According to them, Diane is an epitome of craziness. They're worried about the fact that she can do something terrible because of her obsession.

After wandering around the mall for I don't know how long, I decided to go to the comfort room. As I headed towards the comfort room, I felt a strange emotion washed over me. I felt like someone is watching over me but immediately disregarded that feeling.

Once I came out from the cubicle, I was quite surprise to not see a single person inside the comfort room. That moment, I know that something is wrong.

With a strange feeling, I washed my hands. As I closed the faucet and stared at my reflection in the mirror, my eyes widened as I saw an unfamiliar man behind me. Lots of questions clouded my mind.

"What are you -"

I wasn't able to finish my word as the mans hand gripped my throat. I tried to take away the guy's grip on my throat and scream but he put a cloth to cover my mouth and my nose.

A sudden panic bolted through my being. I tried to hit my attacker with the strength I have but failed. It only causes him to tighten his grip on my throat. This time, I needed some air.

Suddenly the grip on my throat loosened and I gasped for air. When I tried to run, the man pulled me by my hair. He clamped the cloth back to my mouth and nose again. The smell of the chloroform filled my lungs. I feel dizzy and my sorrounding becomes blurry. Right then, I lose my consciousness.

With my head throbbing, I tried to open my eyes. Memories from the event a while ago clouded my mind. My heart raced as my surroundings came into focus. I found myself in a dimly lit room, my hands bound tightly behind my back. Panic enveloped me as I struggled to make sense of what had happened. The residual fear from the kidnapping consumed me, but my attention was abruptly shifted as a figure emerged from the shadows.

It was none other than Arthur's ex-girlfriend, Diane. Her eyes burned with a mixture of anger and resentment, a sight that sent a shiver down my spine. Memories of Arthur's tumultuous past with Diane flooded my mind, and I couldn't help but wonder what role she played in this nefarious situation.

"Why am I here? What do you want from me? Why are you doing all of this?" I managed to stutter, my voice trembling.

A sinister smile danced across Diane's face as she circled me, her steps deliberate and intimidating. "You know the reason why you are here. I warned you to leave Arthur but you just embarassed me infront of your customers. Isabelle, Arthur is mine, and you stole him from me. It's time you pay for what you've done," she whispered before pulling my hair making me look up the ceiling.

My mind raced, desperately trying to grasp the situation. What did she mean by "paying" for being in a relationship with Arthur? Why doesn't she let Arthur and I to be together, to give our son a complete family.

"Stop all of this Diane. Even if you kill me now, Arthur will never forgive you."

Diane's grip on my hair tightened making me close my eyes in pain. "As long as you're out of his sight, I'm happy. I left him, yes, but I realized that I need him, for his power, fame, and wealth. I need him to be with me because I also love him," she replied before pushing my head. My eyes becomes blurry because of what she did.

Diane stand infront of me and smiled deviously. She reached into the pocket of her coat and pulled out a photograph. She raised it for me to see it. It was a picture of me, my son and Arthur, smiling brightly during a day at the park. "I've been watching you. Following your every move." Diane's voice dripped with venom. "You thought you could just waltz into his life and replace me? Well, I won't stand for it. I should be the one for him."
