So there they were, Damien and Sereia, waiting for their carriage to arrive for the chariot ride. Damien's face was beaming with joy, Sereia, on the other hand, felt a nervous flutter in her stomach. The thought of riding in a chariot was both thrilling and intimidating for her. She glanced at Damien, who noticed her nervousness and gently reassured her with a warm smile.

"There you two are, Sereia you look stunning darling." Larissa gasped as she analysed the girls outfit. Sereia looked absolutely breathtaking in the sea green dress. The color seemed to enchance her natural beauty making her radiate a captivating aura. The diamonds delicately placed around her eyes added a touch of sparkle and allure, making her gaze even more enchanting. Larissa couldn't help but admire the dress and the dark haired girls undeniable beauty.

"Thank you." Sereia smiled softly still unsure how to calm her nerves.

"Hey, what about me?" Damien pouted at Larissa who whacked his arm softly with a laugh erupting out her mouth.

"Listen kids, the Capitol already adore the two of you. So don't do anything to change that." Their mentor Jude Axel said as he walked up to the trio. Larissa nodded along with what the man was saying before speaking.

"The Capitol citizens think that the two of you make a beautiful couple. Make sure you play along with them so you get sponsors." She added on whilst this time Jude nodded along with what she was saying in agreement.

"Without sponsors I doubt either of you will make it very far." Jude explained and Damien grinned down at the girl beside him.

"Looks like we are in this together babydoll." He laughed as he swung his arm around her. Sereia looked up at him in disgust but Damien didn't budge. Larissa and Jude watched the teenagers in front of them holding in their laughter.

"If you don't get your hand off me in the next two seconds, you won't have hands." Sereia snarled at him. Damien chuckled to himself not taking what she said personally.

"Suit yourself, Ice queen." He responded with a smirk whilst he adjusted his suit which perfectly matched Sereias dress except his was fading into a darker green.

"Your carriage should be arriving soon. Remember all they want is a show, so give them one they will never forget." Jude said as he straightened himself up and walked away from the rest of his group.

"Jude and I will be watching from the crowd. Don't let us down. I'm talking to you Sereia, play nice." Larissa giggled as she walked after Jude who had basically disappeared.

"You look pretty, Ice queen." Damien smirked trying to win the girl over again. She rolled her eyes and held her tongue remembering what Larissa had told her.

"Call me Ice queen again. Watch what happens to you." She smirked back as she threatened the older boy.

"Come on, you know it matches. You're cold but very beautiful, hence the name." He articulated with a big smile on his face, practically waiting for it to be slapped off his face.

"For the sake of our district and our mentors, I won't hurt you." Sereia smiled back but it was obviously to mock the boy beside her. Soon after the carriage pulled up right in front of them and it was quite a sight to behold. The horses were magnificent, with their coats shining in the moonlight. The carriage itself was beautifully decorated with intricate designs and golden accents. Damien and Sereia couldn't help but feel a wave of nerves hit them as they climbed into the carriage.

"You okay?" Damien asked as he looked at the girl who was about to faint.

"Yeah, you?" She responded in a lighter tone than before. He nodded his head and smiled her as the carriage took off.

Sereia and Damien enter the chariot ride with a mix of nerves and excitement. As the chariot carrying them approaches, Sereia's heart races, her hands slightly trembling. She takes a deep breath, trying to calm her nerves, while Damien stands beside her, beaming with happiness. As they enter the parade, Sereia's beauty shined through, enhanced by her stunning sea green dress that perfectly compliments her eyes.

Damien noticed her hand trembling and intertwined it with his. At first Sereia looked up at him confused and then realised what Larissa and Jude told them. Sponsors. Sereia looked down at their hands and forced a smile for the cameras. She held their locked hands in the air which had the entire parade erupt in roars cheering for them.

Sereia noticed Larissa and Jude sat down watching the district 5 tributes in awe. Jude nods his head at her giving her approval. Damien follows her gaze seeing their mentors cheering for them in the crowd. He looks back down at the dark haired girl enchanted by her beauty. But neither of them forgot that it was all for the show.

As soon as they got off the carriage and it circled back to where it picked them up, Sereia pulled her hand away from him. Damien laughed to himself at the girls incapability of holding someone's hand.

"Great job out there. You really sold it." Damien teased her as he poked her arms.

"I would say the same for you." She said with a hint of sarcasm in her tone, the pair had gotten along quite well and their banter wasn't unrecognised for either of them.

"I'm gonna call it a night. See you tomorrow?" He smiled and the girl nodded. She stayed put because she wanted to wait for her mentors to show up so she can ask questions. However in her wait she came across something else. Or should I say.. Someone else?

"Quite a show you put on there." A dark and deep voice said behind her. She turned around swiftly not letting this voice in the shadows become of threat to her because that would symbolise a weakness. Fear.

"Finnick Odair. The pleasures mine." The named voice said as he rose from the shadows walking over towards the girl. She tilted her head trying to analyse his features. He was handsome and looked about her age which excited her even more. She couldn't deny it, there was something about him that had her wanting more. She felt like she was radiating warmth off him.

"You can keep staring, I'm used to it." The boy before her smirked. He was cocky which immediately made him off putting, but the more she analysed his face the more intrigued she had gotten, she stepped closer to him which unbeknownst to her had his heart jumping out his chest.

"Sereia Black I presume?" He said with the same smirk plastered on his face. He raised his hand out for the girl to shake which she hesitantly did. "You know the Capitol citizens are already calling you their angel," His smirk rising up again as she stared blankly at him. "It suits you." He tried charming her with his smile that deepened his dimples which just looked like heaven to the girl standing before him.

"Thank you?" Sereia, responded which sounded more like a question as it came out her mouth.

"Can I offer you a sugar cube?" He pointed at a small bowl of sugar cubes in his other hand. Sereia tilted her head again trying to understand what he wanted.

"No, what do you want?" She said flatly not letting the boys mischievous actions get the best of her.

"Looking for a friend. My tributes are boring." He groaned as he remembered the tributes he has to mentor. A 17 year old girl that barely spoke and a 12 year old boy who did not stand a chance at the games.

"Ah, so you've come to annoy other tributes then?" Sereia eyed him up and down uncertainty taking over her whole body.

"I wouldn't say annoy, and you are the only tribute I have my eyes on." He beamed at her as his dimples popped out which made the girl melt slightly. He was attractive she couldn't let that much go unnoticed.

"Right, it was nice meeting you." She smiled at him before she made her way back to the district 5 apartment, she couldn't let herself be attracted to him as that would be another weakness she cannot afford to have so close to the games.

Finnick Odair watched her walk away with a huge smile plastered on his face. He didn't know it yet but he would soon fall madly and undeniably in love with her.
