The rest of the week had been insufferably boring and uneventful.

It's currently Friday afternoon and your fingertips are anxiously tapping onto the smooth surface of your desk as you wait to finally get out of work.

You're meeting up with Irene tonight to have dinner together at a restaurant that you've been dying to eat at since it opened.

Sighing to yourself, you stop tapping your fingers onto the desk. Your eyes dart towards the small numbers on the corner of your computer screen as you check the time.

"C'mon, only fifteen more minutes." You say as you take a deep breath before using your mouse to click on a work assignment that you were working on earlier in the day.

You managed to finish it earlier but maybe you can try to find some mistakes to keep yourself busy.

As you're about to click on the file, you hear the sound of an excited voice approaching your desk.

Turning your head, you're greeted by Jieun as she rushes towards your desk with a smile as wide as a mile on her face. You let out a soft laugh at the sight of her happiness.

"Hi, Jieun." You greet as she makes it to your desk. She holds up her phone wiggling it in front of your face.

"Hi! The parts of the song that I recorded earlier in the week with SUGA in the studio are finished being edited! He just sent me the draft. I was just about to go to the breakroom to refill my water bottle. Would you like to go with me so I can play the draft for you?" she asks eagerly, her legs wiggling in excitement. You let out a soft laugh before glancing around.

Hm, going to get a water during the last fifteen minutes of your shift should make that time go by faster, right? And it sure beats sitting at your desk trying to get work done when you've already finished everything you wanted to finish for the day.

"Sure." You say before getting up from your chair and grabbing your water bottle as well. She claps her hands excitedly as the two of you walk to the breakroom.

Once you two are in the breakroom, she glances around the room before she holds up her phone. As she does so, you walk towards the water cooler and get some water into your water bottle. She begins playing the song as you listen.

A smile forms on your face as you hear the song. Her voice sounds so angelic and soothing while also sounding so vulnerable.

While listening to the lyrics, you can't help but feel a slight emptiness in the pit of your stomach. The lyrics are so well written that you know the people that she's singing about would be so proud to hear this song.

You look over at her and see a proud smile on her face while her eyes tear up.

Tilting your head to the side, you smile fondly at the woman before stepping closer to her. You set your water bottle down on the nearest table before standing directly in front of her.

As you do so, she looks up at you curiously. You grin before giving a nod of approval.

"They'd be so proud of you and would love it." Your voice comes out soothing and encouraging. She smiles before nodding her head and reaching her hand up to wipe away some of the tears from her eyes.

"Thank you." She says quietly before taking a deep breath. "I still can't believe I managed to get a chance to work with SUGA and produce such a good song with meaningful lyrics. Life feels like a dream right now." Her last sentence causes a smile to form on your face as you look over at her.
