Lilly:

I was hot all over. I barely noticed when was day, when was night, or how many days I'd been like this. I knew people were coming in and out of my quarters. Sadly, none of them were Phoenix or Brax.

I think I was pretty out of it much of the time, enjoying my sleep because only then I wasn't thinking about where my family was, and wasn't struggling with this fever of mine. Maybe I should ask someone to take me to the human realm so I could go to the hospital. They'll probably know what was happening to me... right?

Whatever the maids were doing to me seemed to work... somewhat, but the fever was still going strong, and it was driving me insane.

The last maid left a while ago, letting me rest, but my whole body was burning, and the layer was itchy and it hurt. I needed help, and here didn't seem to have what I needed. I pull the duvet away from my body and struggle to stand but I do anyway.

When I opened my eyes, I realized how fuzzy my mind was, it was like I couldn't keep a straight thought.

I groan, stumbling, but I manage to catch myself on the window. I look outside, to the balcony's stairs that lead to the first floor, and I decide to go for it. Do they have horses? Yeah... I'm pretty sure I saw a big building... and it smelled like horses. Yeah... horses will do.

I giggle to myself, not really knowing how I can climb down the flight of stairs, but out of nowhere, I was already on the first floor outside in the garden. I imagine big scary dragons riding horses... How comical! I am in hysterics.

"Dragons riding horses" I snickered, trying to walk in a straight line. I was heading to the stables... right?

The stables! I see them and my mind clears for a second. What was I doing again? Right... riding horses... under almighty dragons...

I giggle again and take a horse that was already out. I didn't know if the horse just arrived from a ride, or if someone got it ready to ride it. Doesn't matter. I am stealing it!

I use a wooden box to help me climb this majestic creature and manage to get on. I wasn't scared, I've been riding horses since I was a baby.

"I'm stealing a horse!" I mumble while making the horse gallop to... wherever.

Wait. Where was I going? I clearly didn't think this through... But who is thinking nowadays?

Keep it together, Lilly!

I shake my head, trying to clear my mind, and the air hitting my face helps to keep me centered.

I ride for a long while. I was actually enjoying the ride. I always loved horses, and it's been years since I last got on a horse. It felt like freedom!

"Yeeeehaaa!"

It was the middle of the night, and found myself riding through the dense forest. I knew that riding on the dirt path that separated the woods in two, I would be easily spotted in case someone came around with ill intentions, so I thought, why not just go into the unknown?
