Coldest Winter

The winter wind blows cold and fierce
Whipping through my heart, leaving it pierced
For I am left alone in this barren land
With no warmth to hold, no one to understand

The snow falls softly, like tears from above
A reflection of my heart, so cold and unloved
The memories of you, they haunt me still
As I wander aimlessly, lost in this chill

The trees stand bare, stripped of their leaves
Just like my soul, stripped of its ease
For you were my sunshine, my guiding light
But now I am left in the coldest of nights

I remember the days, when we were so bright
But now all that's left is a never-ending fight
For you have gone, and taken my heart
Leaving me to face this winter, so dark and stark

I long for your touch, your voice, your embrace
But now all I have is this empty space
The coldest winter, it's all I've known
Since you left me here, all alone

So I'll sit here and wait, for the snow to melt
Hoping that one day, my heart will be felt
But until then, I'll brave this winter storm
For my love for you will forever keep me warm.
