Mario had to figure out who he would save first. Should he save the woman he loves and has saved numerous times or should he save his own brother? After thinking it through, Mario settled on saving Luigi because he felt Peach had more confidence and can fend for herself longer. Petey swung Peach's cage across the ground. The friction was aggressive. Mario swiftly dodged. He pulled his F.L.U.D.D. out, firing water out of it. The water all went into to Petey's mouth and to his stomach, causing him to fall backwards. Mario ran over to Luigi's cage and began hitting it as hard as he could to bust it open. Mario repeated this whole process twice. The third time, Petey exploded and Mario and Luigi jumped from the explosion and onto the ground. The two plumbers then saw Bowser in front of them. But this time, he was holding some sort of cannon. It looked like a black dragon head. It was a Dark Cannon.

Bowser aimed the cannon at Mario and Luigi who prepared to dodge the attack. However, Bowser sensed a presence behind him. Peach survived the explosion and the explosion damaged the cage greatly which allowed her to escape the cage.

Bowser then aimed his Dark Cannon at Peach and fired. Out came a black arrow that struck Peach. Turning her into a trophy.

Bowser grabbed the trophy and hopped into his Koopa Clown Car.

He then flew back into his airship. The airship floated away with Mario & Luigi pursuing it. Hoping to save the princess.
