Joyous

I'm happy for my friends
For they are doing fine
They are surviving what they call
The hardest years of our lives

I'm happy for my friends
For they are finding themselves
Amongst the chaos that is ensuing
Through the choices they kept choosing

I'm happy for my friends
For they continue to hope
To hope for a better tomorrow
To hope for a better world

I'm happy for my friends
For they found happiness
With persons that match them
From their energies and antics

I'm happy for them, truly
And I'll be cheering on the side
Since I watched them all
When they left me all behind
