Chapter 46: The Humming Swordsman/I OBJECT!

Start from the beginning

"Shock!!" Brook yelled in surprise at seeing me defend him. He fell to the ground from his shock.

Still dueling against the pressure of Ryuma's sword, I turn my head to give Brook a closed eye smile. "Sorry, Brook, but I want to finish my shadow boxing match. Would that be okay with you?"

"Yo ho ho ho," A laugh sounded from the opponent ahead of me rather than the friend behind, nearly startling me from my focus of the fight. "How pathetic, even this girl is more of a challenge despite her clear exhaustion. Why not let her give you a hand? Yo ho ho ho!"

I glare at the zombie. "What's wrong with helping a friend?" I question, steely while putting more pressure behind my blade.

"Friend? You couldn't have met until very recently, how could you be friends?" The samurai inquired.

"He was offered a place on my best friend's crew; therefore, the friend of my best friend is also my friend." I smile at the future challenge of fighting. "Brook, you never answered. What's your decision?" I ask, keeping my eyes focused on the samurai in front of me.

"I-I'll be counting on you, Amaya. T-Thank you." The skeleton answered breathlessly.

"So that's your name, Red? Amaya?" The zombie asks as we force each other back with our blades, slightly separating from one another.

"So what if it is?" I question, confused about where he was going with this.

"Simply curious as to the name as my first true female opponent is all. Pity that it couldn't be while you were at full capacity, but I will still remember you after your end."

"Let's see who ends up as a memory. I still plan to make many more after this encounter." I retort before we both spring into action.

We continued to clash at immense speeds which normally wouldn't have been a problem, but unfortunately, it was. My dress kept me from doing anything too fancy to keep both my modesty intact. Besides that, my stamina was shot from the poison called sea prism in my system.

After many stretching minutes, I wasn't sure how much longer I could hold out until the room started to shake once again, only this time it was prolonging. Despite the disturbances, Ryuma and I kept trading blows back and forth.

"Is that the lab?" A new and familiar voice called out to my side. "There he is! Hey, skeleton!" Franky calls, must of just having spotted Brook who was still seated behind me. "Dude! You took a royal beating, but you're still with us, aren't you?"

"Wh-what are you doing here?" Brook questioned the cyborg.

"Yo-ho-ho," my opponent darkly laughed. "I can't allow this! You should not touch the loser in a duel!" He declared before changing his targets to Franky and Brook.

I tried to incept, but my stupid heel caught on the cobble stone floor, making me land on my knees as I watched afraid for the two.

Ryuma's sword was intercepted by another sword that was not even fully unsheathed, held by a familiar green-haired Zoro. "Woah, there! Is it you? The legendary samurai who supposedly killed a dragon a long time ago?" He questioned, defending Franky and Brook in the process.

Instead of answering, Ryuma tried to attack Zoro, but Zoro defended once again by pulling out a second sword. Seeing that he wasn't an easy opponent, Ryuma quickly took a few steps back to create some distance between the two.

"Amazing!" Brook comments. "He pushed Ryuma back. Who is he?"

"He's a stinking aggressive pirate swordsman who practices Three-Sword-Style. He's damn strong!" Franky responded to Brook's inquiry.
